The Silly Seals of the Snowy Island

Why do seals love to dive under the ice?

Arrival at the Island of the Funny Seals

After climbing the Great Bear Peak and learning wise lessons(1) from Bjorn, an experienced polar bear, Niko and Nuna feel more confident than ever to explore their icy habitat. Thanks to Bjorn, they now understand the importance of teamwork and resilience in this white world. They decide to go and discover Funny Seal Island, where they know Bobby the Seal is eagerly waiting for them. The journey is long, but curiosity and excitement push them to bravely move forward. Soon after, they spot the island. They are amazed by the sight of young seals playing and joyfully sliding on the snow.

Niko, amazed, says:
« Look, Nuna, the seals are having lots of fun. »

Nuna, curious, adds:
« That's right, Niko. They look like they're having so much fun. »

After watching the young seals play, Niko and Nuna are warmly welcomed by Bobby the Seal, who greets them with a big smile. Nuna is happy to see her friend again. He shows them the seals that love to dive under the ice.

Bobby the Seal, with a mysterious smile, begins to explain:
« You see, under the ice, that's where they find their food and where they can rest safely. But that's not all, there is a legend that says a precious map is hidden under this ice. »

Intrigued, Niko asks:
« That's interesting. Why do they love diving under the ice so much? »

Curious, Nuna asks:
« Yes, why? »

Bobby the Seal, with a mischievous smile, starts to explain: « Ringed(2) seals have a layer of fat. It protects them from the cold and lets them dive for a long time. »

An old seal comes up to them. He tells them about a map carved into an old block of ice. But to find it, they must first dive into the icy water… a challenge awaits them!

The quest for the ancient map

Niko, Nuna, and Bobby the Seal look at each other, knowing that the adventure is about to begin. They get ready for their dive by covering themselves with blubber, a natural protection against the icy cold. Young seals, like Bobby, have a layer of blubber that keeps them warm and lets them dive for a long time. Niko and Nuna, the penguins(3), have a layer of fat under their skin that helps them keep their body heat.

Niko, with determination, says:
« We are ready, old seal. »

Bobby the Seal, with a determined smile, says:
« Perfect. Follow me. We will dive together. »

Nuna, excited, says:
« It's exciting. Let's go. »

Once under the water, they discover a fascinating world. Colorful fish dance around them. Seaweed(4) gently sways. They quickly find the ice block with the carved map.

Niko, excited, shouts:
« Look, the map is here. »

Nuna, happily, shouts:
« We found it. Well done, Niko. »

Bobby the Seal, with a smile, says:
« Now, let's go back up to the surface. »

After finding the map, Niko and Nuna surface. Still excited about finding the ancient map carved in an old ice block, they can't help but be amazed by the beauty of the underwater world(5). As they search for the map under the ice, Niko and Nuna meet a sunfish(6) named Luna, who gives them a surprising lesson about surviving in the cold depths. They learn that every ocean animal has its own secrets and that teamwork is essential to survive in this cold and beautiful world. Their next adventure might lead them to discover more mysteries hidden under the ice.
