📝 Quick summary of key information
What is a seahorse and how do its movements make the ocean currents dance?
The seahorse is a small sea fish known for its horse-shaped head. It lives in the oceans, often hiding among seaweed and corals. Seahorses are true masters of hiding, blending perfectly into their surroundings.
The seahorse moves by waving its dorsal fin, like an underwater ballerina. Its gentle movements create small currents in the water, subtly influencing the movements of other sea creatures. It's a bit like it's leading an underwater dance.
Seahorses play a very important role in their ecosystem. They eat small crustaceans and plankton, helping to control the number of these creatures. Their presence is essential to keep the ocean balanced.
Seahorses live in pairs and are very close. The males carry the eggs in a special pouch until they hatch. They are also known for their ability to change color to hide or talk to their partners.

Seahorse Hugo and the Dance of the Currents
What is a seahorse and how do its movements make the ocean currents dance?
The Dance of the Currents
After listening to the ancient (1) tales of the sea turtle, Sirio and Sirena head towards the Enchanted Reef. Tina had explained that sea turtles, despite their slowness, play a crucial role in the marine ecosystem (2). They swim through the oceans, carrying nutrients (3) and helping to maintain the balance of ecosystems. Sirio and Sirena are amazed by Tina's wisdom and wonder what other secrets the depths of the ocean hold. That's when they spot an elegant and graceful silhouette moving with incredible ease. Intrigued, they get closer and discover Seahorse Hugo, a small sea creature with fluid and harmonious movements.
Sirio, amazed, asks:
« Hugo, you move so nicely. How do you do it? »
Seahorse Hugo, curious, explains then:
« I move with my tail and my fins. They create currents. They help me swim without effort. »
Sirena, amazed, says:
« It's magical. Your movements calm the water. »
Seahorse Hugo, fascinated by his own movements, explains: « Every movement creates a wave (4). It influences the ocean currents. »
Seahorse Hugo's movements are watched carefully by Sirio and Sirena. They start to understand how each wave helps the ocean currents. To show his thanks, Hugo gives them a shiny scale. He then shares the secret of his dance, which calms and balances the ocean.
The Secret of the Dance
Sirio and Sirena take the shiny scale. They look at Seahorse Hugo with admiration. They want to learn how to create currents like him.
Sirio, excited, asks:
« Hugo, show us how to do it. »
Seahorse Hugo, with an encouraging smile, says: « Watch closely. Move with nature (5). »
Sirena, after trying to copy Seahorse Hugo's moves, says:
« It's hard. Let's try again. »
Sirio and Sirena are practicing. They move their tail fins (6). They create little currents. The seaweed dances around them. They are happy.
Sirio, amazed, shouts:
« It's magical. We can do it. »
After creating little currents, Sirio and Sirena are amazed by the movements of the seaweed. They decide to keep exploring to find more ocean secrets. One day, as they swim beyond the reefs, they hear a melodious song echoing in the depths. Curious, they follow the sound and discover a seahorse in the middle of the Enchanted Reef. His elegant swimming orchestrates (7) a dance with the ocean currents. Sirio and Sirena are fascinated by this new discovery and decide to get closer to learn more.
