📝 Quick summary of key information

Why are ladybugs so useful in the garden?

Ladybugs are small bugs with red shells and black spots. They are very helpful in the garden because they eat aphids. Aphids are tiny insects that can harm plants. Ladybugs catch and eat them, which helps plants stay healthy.

Ladybugs go through many stages in their lives. They start by laying eggs on leaves. Then, tiny worms called larvae come out of the eggs. These larvae eat lots of aphids. Finally, they turn into adult ladybugs with their pretty red wings.

You can find ladybugs in many places. They like to hide under leaves, in flowers, and even in neat gardens. They prefer places where there are lots of aphids to eat.

Ladybugs mainly eat aphids, but they can also eat other small insects. They are very helpful for gardeners because they help protect plants without using chemicals. This way, they help create a healthier and greener garden.

Lili and Gaston: First Steps in the Garden

Why are ladybugs so useful in the garden?

Rainbow Meadow: A Wondrous Discovery

On this gentle spring morning(1), Lili the ladybug and Gaston the beetle wake up, ready to discover the wonders of Rainbow Meadow. The first rays of the sun gently touch(2) their tiny bodies, inviting them to leave their shelter. The meadow is bathed in light and bright colors, offering an enchanting(3) sight. The two friends venture out timidly, exploring every corner(4) of this new environment. Suddenly, a beautiful flower catches their attention. It seems to be blooming(5) under the sun, but something is wrong. An idea to explore Rainbow Meadow begins to grow in their minds.

Lili, her eyes sparkling with curiosity, says:
« Gaston, let's go see that flower. It is so beautiful! »

Gaston, excited, says:
« Okay, Lili. Let's go quickly! »

After walking a few meters, they discover a beautiful flower. It is surrounded by aphids. Lili carefully observes the flower. She has an idea.

Lili, after looking at the flower closely, says:
« Gaston, look at these aphids. They are eating the flower. »

Gaston, curious, asks:
« Yes, Lili. What do we do? »

Lili, determined, says:
« I am going to eat them. This will help the flower. »

Gaston, encouraged, says:
« Good idea, Lili. Go for it! »

On the way, they find a plant in trouble, covered in aphids. Lili shows her talent as a garden protector by eating them and saves the flower!

Ladybugs: Garden Protectors

As they keep exploring, they find another plant in trouble, covered in aphids. Once again, Lili shows her talent as a garden protector by eating them and saving the flower!

Gaston, amazed, asks:
« Lili, you are fast. How do you do it? »

Lili, curious and happy, then explains:
« I flap my wings very fast. This helps me fly quickly. »

Gaston, amazed, says:
« Wow! I want to try. »

Lili, with a reassuring smile, says:
« You can try. But first, eat the aphids. »

Gaston, after watching Lili, says:
« Okay. I will try. »

After saving several plants, Lili and Gaston continue their journey. As they go on their adventures, a soft fluttering of wings catches their attention. It is the gentle sound of many butterflies happily flying in the air. Drawn by this dazzling sight, they decide to follow this path that leads them straight to the Butterfly Palace. There, butterflies with shimmering(6) colors are seen gracefully dancing among the flowers. The bright colors of the butterflies help them stand out among the flowers and attract partners. Lili and Gaston are amazed by the beauty of this sight and decide to stay for a while to watch the butterflies. It is said that their next adventure awaits them, full of discoveries and wonders.
