After listening to Zéphyr the dragonfly tell them why she loves to dance above the Singing Stream‎ (1), Lili the ladybug and Gaston the beetle continue on their way. They remember how important water is for water insects, like dragonflies, and keep exploring the garden. The Rainbow Meadow, with its colorful flowers and buzzing bees, catches their eye. Gaston, with his little wiggly‎ (2) antennae‎ (3), smells a sweet nectar scent. He turns to Lili and suggests they go find the sweetest flowers for a well-deserved feast.

Gaston, mouth watering, says:
« Let's go find the sweetest flowers. »

Lili, with a big smile, says:
« Okay! I will dance around the flowers. »

Soon after, they meet colorful flowers with soft petals. Gaston, with his shiny‎ (4) emerald green shell‎ (5), climbs the tallest stems to reach the sweetest flowers. Lili, with her red shell with black spots, dances around the flowers, attracting bees and butterflies. The bees, with their little pollen‎ (6) baskets, fly from flower to flower, carrying the pollen needed for the plants to grow.

Gaston, very excited, says:
« Look, Lili! The bees are carrying the pollen. »

Lili, amazed, says:
« Yes, Gaston! They help the flowers to grow. »

With the help of the bees and butterflies, they find a field full of flowers bursting with nectar. Gaston enjoys his feast while helping the flowers bloom!

The Discovery of Nectar

Gaston enjoys the nectar. He has fun comparing the tastes. Each flower has a unique flavor. Lili watches the bees and butterflies. She notices the special hairs on the bees' bodies.

Lili, amazed, says:
« Gaston, look at the bees! »

Gaston, while enjoying a sip of nectar, says:
« Yes, Lili! They have hairs for the pollen. »

Lili, amazed, explains then:
« Butterflies use their tongues. »

Gaston, while enjoying the nectar, says:
« I'm sure bees and butterflies carry the pollen. They are really helpful! »

Lili watches the butterflies. She learns about the importance of pollination. She admires the teamwork‎ (7) between the insects and the flowers. Later, while Gaston rests after his meal, Lili sees a long line of ants carrying big pieces of leaves to their anthill. Curious and happy, she loves exploring the flowers and dancing in the morning dew. She wonders if ants also have an important role in the garden, like bees and butterflies. With her mind full of new knowledge and sweet tastes, Lili and Gaston get ready for a new adventure, eager to discover the hidden secrets of the Enchanted Insect Garden.
