📝 Quick summary of key information
What can we learn by looking at the moon?
The moon is a big rock that goes around the Earth. It is our only natural satellite. It shines because of the sunlight that it reflects. The moon is about 384,000 kilometers away from the Earth.
The moon changes shape every day. Sometimes, it is completely invisible. That is the new moon. Then, it becomes a crescent, then a half-circle. That is the first quarter. Then, it becomes a full circle. That is the full moon. Finally, it becomes a half-circle again. That is the last quarter, then a crescent, and finally, it disappears again.
The moon affects the Earth in many ways. It creates the tides, which are the movements of water in the oceans. It also helps some animals know when to reproduce. For example, oysters lay their eggs during the full moon.
With a simple telescope or even with your bare eyes, you can see craters and mountains on the moon. These craters are holes made by meteorites. The mountains are hills formed a very long time ago. Looking at the moon is fun and educational. Scientists study it to learn more about our solar system.

The Broken Moon Clue
What can we learn by looking at the moon ?
The Starry Discovery
After listening to Hector the Hedgehog explain how he uses his spikes to defend himself from predators, Nox and Luma continue their journey. They learned that even the smallest animals, like the hedgehog, have clever (1) ways to protect themselves from the dangers of the night. As they admire the shooting stars, they head towards the Owl Plain, ready for a new adventure. That's when a shiny stone seems to have fallen from the sky, catching their attention.
Not long after, they arrive at the Owl Plain. A shiny stone catches their eye. It looks like it fell from the sky. Nox and Luma go closer to look at it.
Nox, curious, whispers:
« This is strange, this stone looks like a piece of the moon. »
Luma, curious, whispers:
« You are right. Maybe it's a moon secret. »
Nox, with his big shiny eyes, looks closely at the stone. He notices that its surface is smooth and shiny, like a mirror. Luma, with her endless curiosity, flies away to explore the area, hoping to find more clues.
Nox, curious, says:
« Luma, look! Glowing footprints lead to the Forest of Dancing Shadows. »
Luma, with a determined look, says:
« Let's go see where they lead. Maybe it will help us understand the secret of the stone. »
The two friends decide to follow these tracks, intrigued (2) by this unexpected discovery. They know that the moon plays a crucial (3) role in the lives of nocturnal animals, offering them natural light to move and hunt. Along the way, they observe the mysterious (4) shadows cast by the trees, which seem to dance under the moonlight. Nox explains to Luma that these shadows are the result of the moonlight filtering (5) through the leaves of the trees. They continue their exploration, determined to find out the meaning of the moonstone. The two friends understand that this stone is part of the secret they are looking (6) for… But what does it mean? The mystery deepens!
The Mystery of the Moonstone
After following the glowing tracks, Nox and Luma enter the Owl Plain. Giant trees stand around them, their branches stretching out like welcoming arms. Moonlight filters through the leaves, creating magical patterns on the ground.
Nox, amazed, says:
« Luma, look how these shadows seem to dance! They are exactly like the ones we saw on the way. You remember, I explained to you that it was the light of the moon creating them as it passed through the leaves of the trees. Here, they seem even more magical! »
Luma, amazed, whispers then:
« Yes, they dance with the light. »
After admiring the dancing shadows, Nox and Luma continue their silent exploration, their shiny eyes watching every detail. The Owl Plain, with its giant trees and magical patterns, seems to hide secrets. Suddenly, a clearing lit by a soft light appears in front of them. In the middle, a shiny stone seems to have fallen from the sky, immediately catching their attention.
Nox, amazed, shouts:
« Wow! It looks like it fell from the sky. Look, it shines like the moon! »
Luma, curious, asks:
« What is this stone? It looks like a piece of the moon! Where does it come from? »
It is then explained to Nox and Luma that the shiny stone is a piece of an old legend. Every night, pieces of moonlight fall to Earth. Those who find them can make a wish. The two friends understand that this stone is part of the secret they are looking for… But what does it mean? The mystery deepens!
As Nox the owl and Luma the bat gaze at the moonstone, a melodious (7) and mysterious sound catches their attention. Curious, they decide to follow this mysterious song that seems to come from the Starry Reflection Lake, where they might find answers to their questions. Upon arriving at the lake, they discover that the water perfectly reflects the stars, creating a magical sight. Nox and Luma realize that this place is special, and they are eager to find out what the moonstone has in store for them. With a final look at the starry sky, they prepare for a new adventure, ready to unravel the mysteries of the night.
