📝 Quick summary of key information
Why is the rabbit running so fast?
Rabbits are known for their amazing speed. They run fast to escape predators like foxes and birds of prey. Their quickness is a matter of survival in nature.
Rabbits live in burrows, forests, and fields. They are most active at night or at twilight. Their diet is mainly plants, grass, and vegetables. They nibble all the time to stay healthy.
To protect themselves, bunnies use their speed to run away. They can also hide in burrows or under bushes. Their agility and quickness are their best weapons against dangers.
Rabbits play an important role in their environment. They help spread the seeds of the plants they eat, helping new plants to grow. They are also a food source for many animals.

Lapinet the Rabbit and the Race in the Fields
Why does the rabbit run so fast?
The Wild Race
After listening to the wise (1) advice from Hilda, the tawny owl, about the mysteries of the night and her sharp (2) eyes, Forestin, the little fawn with small antlers and golden fur (3) that shines in the sun, and Fleurie, the little fawn with curious eyes and a spotted coat that reflects the colors of autumn, venture out of the old hollow tree. The fawns, amazed by the forest's secrets, run towards the sunny meadow, ready for a new adventure. Along the way, they meet Lapinet the Rabbit, a curious and adventurous little rabbit with soft, white fur and gray spots on his ears and back, who jumps everywhere, inviting them to a wild (4) race across the fields.
Forestin, out of breath, asks:
« What is this speed? »
Fleurie, admiringly, says:
« Yes, you run fast, Lapinet the Rabbit. »
Lapinet the Rabbit, panting, explains:
« I run fast to escape dangers. »
After hearing Lapinet the Rabbit, Forestin and Fleurie are fascinated. They follow Lapinet the Rabbit through the fields. Lapinet the Rabbit shows his little back paws. He jumps very high and runs very fast. Forestin and Fleurie try to follow.
Lapinet the Rabbit explains:
« My ears listen for dangers. My paws help me jump fast. »
Lapinet the Rabbit tells them about an engraved stone that could be the key to their quest.
The Carved Stone
Forestin and Fleurie follow Lapinet the Rabbit. Lapinet the Rabbit shows them the carved stone. It is old and mysterious (5).
Forestin, curious, asks:
« What is this stone, Lapinet the Rabbit? »
Fleurie, curious, asks:
« It is really mysterious, this stone. Why is it important? »
Lapinet the Rabbit, with his sparkling eyes, explains:
« This stone shows a secret path. »
Lapinet the Rabbit digs near the stone. He finds an old scroll (6). He shows it to Forestin and Fleurie. Forestin and Fleurie look at it with curiosity.
Lapinet the Rabbit, eyes sparkling, then says:
« The scroll talks about a hidden treasure. »
Forestin, eyes sparkling, asks:
« Where is the treasure? »
Fleurie, her eyes sparkling with excitement, says:
« I want to find it with you, Lapinet the Rabbit. »
After following Lapinet the Rabbit to the carved stone, Forestin and Fleurie discover an even bigger mystery. Intrigued (7) by the legend it tells, they decide to go on an adventure. Lapinet the Rabbit then tells them about a magical place where they might find answers. Together, they set off towards the sacred mountain. There, they meet Ursus, a big, peaceful brown bear, who explains why he sleeps all winter and why it is so important to respect the cycle of nature. Forestin and Fleurie, with Lapinet the Rabbit by their side, are ready to discover new secrets and have new adventures in the enchanted forests.
