📝 Quick summary of key information

Why do rabbits run so fast?

Rabbits run very fast to escape predators like foxes and birds of prey. Their speed is a real superpower that helps them survive in nature.

With their speed, rabbits can quickly find safe shelters and food. They are very agile and can change direction in a blink, which helps them avoid dangers.

Rabbits often live in burrows or meadows. They mainly eat grass and vegetables. Their way of life helps them move easily and quickly.

Rabbits have very sharp senses. Their hearing and sense of smell help them detect dangers long before they can be seen. This gives them an advantage to protect themselves from harm.

The Rabbit and the Dash Through the Grass

Why do rabbits run so fast?

Meeting Leo

Under a bright(1) sky, Félix the fox and Brindille the mouse wake up, ready to explore the first signs of spring. Flowers open shyly(2), birds sing enchanting melodies(3), and the grass starts to grow(4) in every free inch of soil, a dazzling(5) green; a true explosion of life that our two friends are happy to experience(6). After walking up Breeze Hill, where the wind whispered old stories, they decide to follow a mysterious trail that leads them to the heart of the Tall Grass Maze(7). That's when, with his sharp eyes, Félix spots fresh footprints in the wet earth. Intrigued, they set off to discover who owns them. By following the footprints, they meet Leo the Rabbit, who joyfully hops between the golden blades of grass.

Félix, excited, says:
« Look, Brindille, tracks! »

Brindille, curious, asks:
« Yes, where do they lead? »

Félix, eyes shining with curiosity, then says:
« Let's follow them, maybe a friend. »

After following the footprints, they hear a noise. A shape jumps between the golden grasses. It's a rabbit. Leo the Rabbit, with his big ears and bright eyes, greets them warmly. He teaches them to run in a zigzag. Leo, with a mischievous smile, invites them to continue the adventure together.

Leo the Rabbit, with a big smile, says:
« Hi Félix, hi Brindille! »

Félix, very excited, says:
« Hi Leo! We found your tracks. »

Leo the Rabbit, with a mischievous smile, says:
« Come, I will show you something. »

Leo the Rabbit teaches them to run in a zigzag and shows them another clue: a little fur stuck on a bush… But who does it belong to?

The Mystery Continues

The little leaf is observed by Félix and Brindille. They wonder who it could belong to. Leo the Rabbit winks at them and shows that he has something else to show them. He joyfully hops between the golden grasses, inviting them to follow him.

Leo the Rabbit, with a mysterious look, says:
« Look closely at this bush. Do you see this tuft of fur stuck on the branches? »

Félix, curious, asks:
« Yes, what is it? »

Leo the Rabbit, curious, asks:
« Have you seen this one? It is different from the first. Who could it belong to? »

Brindille, curious, asks:
« Is that you again, Leo the Rabbit? »

Leo the Rabbit, with a cheeky smile, says:
« Yes, it's me. You see, this footprint is different because I often hide by running in a zigzag. That's how I protect myself from predators. Do you want to try running like me? »

Curious about the tuft of fur stuck in the bush, Félix the fox and Brindille the mouse, still with Leo the Rabbit, continue their exploration. They are drawn by a noise that leads them to the Field of a Thousand Flowers. There, they discover a magnificent doe, Bella the Doe, gently enjoying some wildflowers. Bella, with her big soft eyes, welcomes them warmly. Leo, with a smile, explains that does are also fast and agile, able to jump high to avoid dangers. Félix, Brindille, and Leo, amazed, watch Bella as she moves gracefully among the flowers. The day ends with a beautiful lesson about the speed and agility of the animals of the prairie. Together, they decide to return to the Great Wise Oak to share their discoveries with the other animals. The next adventure awaits them, full of mysteries and surprises.
