📝 Quick summary of key information
Why do butterflies love flowers?
Butterflies love flowers because they find nectar there, a kind of sweet juice. This nectar is their favorite food, like a delicious treat for them.
To find the flowers, the butterflies use their antennae and their eyes. Colorful and fragrant flowers catch their attention, like lighthouses in the night.
Butterflies play a very important role in nature. By visiting flowers, they help pollinate plants, which allows plants to make seeds and fruits.
Butterflies live through a amazing life cycle: they start as eggs, then become caterpillars. Next, they turn into chrysalises and finally into adult butterflies.

Why do butterflies love flowers?
The Meeting with Poppy the Butterfly
After exploring the Crystal River, Félix the fox and Brindille the mouse discover that water is essential for the life of the meadow (1). Mysterious footprints, wet from the fresh water, are spotted by them, seeming to tell a secret story. Now, they are ready for a new adventure. That morning, under the endless (2) blue sky, Félix and Brindille head towards the Field of a Thousand Flowers. The golden grasses gently rustle in the breeze, and colorful flowers stretch as far as the eye can see. The two friends are curious to find out what this beautiful landscape might have in store for them. As they walk, a fluttering (3) splash of color catches their attention. It’s Poppy the Butterfly, dancing from flower to flower.
Félix, eyes sparkling, exclaims:
« Look, Brindille! A flash of color! »
Brindille, excited, says:
« Yes, Félix! It’s Poppy the Butterfly. »
Poppy the Butterfly, fluttering gracefully, says:
« Hi, friends! Do you see that shadow in the sky? »
Félix, curious, asks:
« Yes, Poppy the Butterfly. What is it? »
Poppy the Butterfly, curious, says:
« I don't know. But I saw it near the Great Wise Oak Tree. »
Poppy the Butterfly tells them that she saw a shadow flying in the sky, very close to the Great Wise Oak Tree... The mystery of the footprints deepens!
The Mystery of the Shadow
After seeing the shadow, the three friends set off towards the Great Wise Oak. They walk through the meadow, the tall grass tickles their paws.
Félix, curious, asks:
« Brindille, do you see something? »
Brindille, after sniffing the air, says:
« No, Félix. But I smell a strange smell. »
Félix, curious, whispers:
« Me too. Let's go see closer. »
When they arrive at the Great Wise Oak, they discover strange tracks on the ground. They really smell weird, says Félix as he sniffs the tracks. They belong to an unknown animal, he adds. Brindille climbs the tree to observe the surroundings.
Brindille, excited, says:
« Félix, I see something shiny! »
Félix, curious, asks then:
« What is that? »
Brindille, after looking at the feather more closely, explains to Félix:
« A feather. It is different from the ones of the birds we know. »
Félix and Brindille, curious about the mysterious shadow, decide to take a new path. They see a flash of color fluttering in the Field of a Thousand Flowers. It’s Poppy the Butterfly, dancing from one flower to another. Poppy tells them she saw a shadow pass in the sky, very close to the Great Wise Oak. Intrigued (4), they decide to follow Poppy. They hear a happy buzzing sound and follow it to a golden hive. This is where the busy bees live, essential for pollinating (5) the flowers. The two friends learn about the importance of bees for nature. They understand that every animal in the meadow plays a crucial role in the ecosystem (6). By watching the bees, they realize that pollination is essential for the growth of plants and the production of fruits. Félix, Brindille, and Poppy continue their adventure, ready to discover new mysteries and learn even more about the meadow of adventures. Next time, they might explore the Tall Grass Maze (7), where new surprises await them.
