Mina the Shrew and the Secret Feast
Why do shrews eat all the time?
The Discovery of the Secret Feast
After finding a narrow passage during their last adventure, Noa the hedgehog and Milo the mole kept exploring the Underground Kingdom. When they heard a strange noise, Noa instinctively rolled into a ball, but his curiosity quickly took over. Milo, on the other hand, never missed a chance to dig and explore. Together, they were ready to discover the secrets hidden beneath the earth. Soon after, a yummy smell led them to a small underground clearing.
In this clearing, they found Mina the Shrew. She was enjoying a feast of insects (1). Her little shiny eyes showed her joy to see them. Milo and Noa walked slowly to not surprise her.
Mina the Shrew, while still enjoying her meal, said:
« Hello Milo and Noa! Did you smell my feast? »
Milo, curious about the feast, asks:
« Yes, it's delicious. Why are you eating so much? »
Mina the Shrew, while enjoying an insect, explains:
« Shrews need lots of energy. We must eat often to stay in shape. »
Noa, curious, asks:
« Why can't you eat less? »
Mina the Shrew says:
« Our body burns a lot of energy, even when we are resting. That is why we must eat all the time. »
While enjoying her feast, Mina the Shrew turns to Milo and Noa and tells them about a secret passage in the Root Labyrinth (2), where she saw strange writings (3)… Another clue for their quest!
The Adventure in the Root Maze
Mina the Shrew tells them about a secret passage in the Root Maze, where she saw strange markings. Another clue for their quest!
Milo, curious, asks:
« What is this secret passage? »
Mina the Shrew, with a mysterious smile, says:
« It's a hidden path. It leads to wonders. »
Noa, impatient, shouts:
« Let's go quickly! »
The three friends went into the secret passage. The walls were covered in shiny green moss. Milo dug a little deeper to light the way. Noa rolled into a ball to avoid the sharp obstacles. Mina the Shrew hopped ahead, guiding her friends with precision. They found narrow tunnels and mysterious (4) rooms. Finally, they arrived in a big cave. In the middle, there stood an old (5) statue (6). It showed a shrew holding a glowing seed.
Mina the Shrew, with a proud smile, tells them:
« It's a statue of my grandmother. She found these seeds. »
After admiring the statue, Milo and Noa were guided by a delicious smell that led them to Mina the Shrew, who was having a feast of insects in a corner of the tunnel. The little shrew told them about a secret passage in the Root Labyrinth, where she had seen strange writings. Intrigued, the two friends followed the clues left by Mina with a mix of excitement and curiosity. The magic of the writings and the search for knowledge were temporarily set aside, but the friendship between curious and resourceful (7) Milo and Noa the hedgehog was highlighted to help better understand the different constructions of the underground world. Together, they continued to explore, ready for new adventures and discoveries in the Underground Kingdom.
