📝 Quick summary of key information
How do voles build their burrows?
A vole is a small rodent that often lives in fields and meadows. It is known for its brown fur and its small, quick paws. Voles love places where there is lots of grass and plants to nibble on.
Moles dig burrows to protect themselves from predators and bad weather. They use their strong front paws to dig tunnels underground. These burrows can have many entrances and rooms.
Burrows are very important for voles. They sleep in them, raise their babies, and store food. Burrows also protect them from the cold and outside dangers.
Voles are active mostly at night. They eat seeds, roots, and leaves. During the day, they rest in their burrows to be ready for the evening.
Voles play an important role in their environment. By digging burrows, they aerate the soil and help water seep in better. They are also a food source for other animals.

How do voles build their burrows?
Rafa the Vole's Burrow Tour
After following a delicious smell through the tunnels, Milo the mole and Noa the hedgehog are guided by their senses to a secret gallery (1). There, they find Rafa the Vole, who invites them to explore his amazing burrow. The two curious and adventurous friends eagerly accept. They are amazed by the many rooms and tunnels that Rafa shows them. Then, they come across a secret gallery where an old sealed (2) tunnel catches their attention. Maybe the treasure is behind this wall (3)!
Rafa the Vole, eyes sparkling with excitement, says:
« Let's take a closer look! Maybe this old sealed tunnel hides a treasure. Follow me! »
Milo, amazed, exclaims:
« Wow, this burrow is really huge! There are tunnels everywhere! »
Rafa the Vole explains:
« Yes, each tunnel has a purpose. Here, we store food. »
Noa, curious, asks:
« And do you sleep here? »
Rafa the Vole, with a cheeky smile, says:
« Exactly. And this tunnel is to escape from predators. »
In a secret passage, they find an old sealed tunnel... Maybe the treasure is behind this wall!
The Secret Tunnel Discovery
Milo and Noa look at the sealed tunnel. They wonder what is hiding behind it. Rafa the Vole watches them with a smile.
Rafa the Vole, after looking at the sealed tunnel, then explains:
« This tunnel is very old. »
Milo, curious, asks:
« Why is it closed? »
Rafa the Vole, with a mysterious smile, then explains: « To protect a precious (4) treasure. »
Noa, curious, asks:
« What treasure? »
Rafa the Vole, with a mysterious smile, tells them:
« Oh, it's a well-kept secret! Behind this wall, there are rare seeds and magical crystals. They say they have special powers! »
After finding the sealed tunnel and dreaming of the treasure that might be inside, Milo, the little vole with golden-brown fur and shiny eyes like little lanterns, and Noa decide to continue their adventure through the magical tunnels. When they come out of the underground, they find a lively clearing where Rafa the Vole is busy doing important work: he shows them how he moves the earth, aerates the soil, and feeds the plants by making fertilizing compost (5) that helps the underground kingdom stay so lush. The three friends promise to come back soon for more adventures, because they know the underground kingdom still has many mysteries to discover. They part ways with a smile, ready to share their findings with the other inhabitants of the kingdom.
