📝 Quick summary of key information
Why is it important to put away your tools after using them?
A tool is something that helps you do jobs. It can be a hammer, pliers, or even a little spoon for eating. Tools make life easier by helping us do tasks.
Putting away your tools after using them is very important. This way, you can find them easily when you need them. Plus, it protects them from damage and keeps them in good condition. Imagine if you left your toys everywhere, they could break or get lost.
If we don't put away our tools, they can get lost or break. For example, a hammer left on the floor can be stepped on and break. Also, tools not put away can cause accidents. A child might trip over a tool left on the floor and get hurt.
To put away tools correctly, it's good to use boxes or shelves. Each tool has its place. For example, hammers can be hung on the wall, and small pieces can go in boxes. This makes it easier to use the tools later and avoids accidents.

The Magic Barn and the Treasure Hunt
After learning with Vachette, the sweet cow, why her milk is so precious, Little Pig and Chevrette feel ready for new adventures. They have learned that milk is essential (1) to grow strong and healthy, and they can't wait to share this lesson with their friends. One sunny morning, while they are playing in the farmyard, they hear melodious (2) songs coming from the Magic Barn. Curious, they decide to find out the origin of these enchanting sounds.
Once inside the barn, Little Pig and Chevrette are amazed (3). The rakes, shovels, and pitchforks seem to dance to the music. Suddenly, a soft voice echoes.
Little Pig, curious, asks:
« Who is talking? »
Chevrette, pointing at a corner of the barn, says:
« It's the old hammer. »
Little Pig, with his eyes wide open, exclaims:
« What a surprise! »
The hammer explains that the tools have decided to organize a treasure hunt. The goal is to teach the friends the importance of putting away and taking care of the tools after each use. Little Pig and Chevrette, excited, immediately accept the challenge. They are then given a treasure map, where each clue leads them to a specific tool.
With the treasure map in hand, Little Pig and Chevrette start their quest. Their first mission is to find the pitchfork, hidden under a pile of hay. After a few minutes of searching, they finally find it. The pitchfork then gives them a clue for the next step. Along the way, they discover that every tool has its own special place and that messiness (4) can make life on the farm much harder.
The friends discover that putting away their tools is important to keep the barn clean and well-organized. They continue their quest, ready to learn more about the importance of order and cleanliness.
The Discoveries and the Surprises
After looking carefully, Little Pig and Chevrette find the shovel. They discover that this tool is essential for working the earth and feeding the plants. They learn that well-organized tools allow for more efficient work. The shovel is used for digging and preparing the soil, making farming (5) tasks easier.
Little Pig, all excited, says:
« Yes, and with the shovel, we can prepare the soil so that plants grow better. It's really useful to have the tools well organized to work faster and more efficiently. »
Chevrette, while skipping, adds:
« Yes, and tools that are put away help you work better. »
Soon after, they find the rake. The friends learn that this tool is essential for aerating (6) the soil and preparing seeds for planting. They understand that putting tools away helps find them easily and take care of them. They also discover that the rake helps remove weeds, making it easier for plants to grow.
Little Pig, all excited, shouts:
« I am really happy we found the rake! It's really a super useful tool for aerating the soil and removing weeds. That way, plants grow better and we can plant them more easily. That's why it's important to put our tools away nicely, so we can find them quickly when we need them. »
Chevrette, jumping with joy, adds:
« Yes, and that's also why it's important to put our tools away neatly. That way, we can find them easily when we need them to keep the garden clean and well-organized. »
After tidying up their tools, it is decided that Little Pig and Chevrette head to the field. They are curious to find out how the tools they used can help plants grow faster. They now know that every little action counts and that nature has its own secrets to share. Their next adventure awaits, full of surprises and new lessons to learn.
