📝 Quick summary of key information

What can we learn from animals that talk?

A fable is a short story that tells funny adventures. In fables, animals talk and act like humans. This helps to teach life lessons in a fun and memorable way.

Jean de La Fontaine is a famous French writer who wrote many fables. He was born in 1621 and used animals to tell wise stories. His fables are still read and enjoyed today.

In fables, animals teach us important lessons. For example, the fox teaches us to be clever, while the lion shows us the importance of strength and bravery. Each animal has a lesson to share.

Storytellers use animals to tell tales because it makes the lessons easier to understand and remember. Kids love animals, so they pay more attention and are more interested in fables.

Learning fables is very helpful. It helps your imagination, makes learning life lessons easier, and makes learning fun. Fables are a great way to teach important values.

Aesop's Fables

What can talking animals teach us?

The Living Fables

After talking to the spirits(1) of the greatest writers, Éline and Jasper learned that words have(2) immense power. The fox-feather, their guide, then led(3) them on a new adventure. Following the feather's advice, they discovered a secret passage that took them to the Forest of Tales. Once inside, they were greeted by a soft light and whispers(4) of ancient stories. Éline, with her parchment(5) dress, and Jasper, with his cape of flying pages, cautiously(6) moved forward, their eyes shining with curiosity.

Not long after, they spotted a mysterious(7) creature in the middle of a chat. The Raven, perched on a low branch, held a piece of cheese in his beak. Below, The Fox tried to convince him to give it to him. Éline and Jasper watched the scene carefully.

The Fox, The Raven, after thinking for a moment, said:
« I will not give you my cheese. »

The Fox, The Raven, with a sly smile, says:
« But you ate so much. Please give it to me. »

The Fox, The Raven, with a firm voice, says:
« No, I keep it. It is mine. »

The Fox, The Raven, in a cunning tone, said:
« You are too greedy. Why not share some of this cheese with me? »

After a long talk, the two animals turned to Éline and Jasper, who had been listening carefully. A living fable was then shown to the children, who, by solving it, found a message hidden in a golden leaf. This clue was very helpful for them to move forward in their adventure.

The Wisdom of Tales

The golden leaf shined in the sunlight. Éline and Jasper read the message written on it. It talked about a race between a Tortoise and a Hare.

Éline, excited about this new adventure, says:
« Let's go see this race. »

Jasper, excited about this new adventure, exclaims:
« Yes, let's find the Tortoise and the Hare. »

After walking a few meters, they found a clearing. A Tortoise was moving slowly but surely. A Hare ran fast but stopped to sleep.

Éline, eyes sparkling, announces:
« The Tortoise wins the race. »

Jasper, with a mischievous smile, says:
« That's right, she won because she never gave up. The Tortoise is patient and determined, she did well not to get distracted. »

With the golden leaf in hand, Éline and Jasper follow The Fox and The Raven, who guide them to a new adventure. They find a scroll that flies away and leads them to a ruined theater, where Hugo's words still echo in the walls. As they enter the theater, they feel magical energy fill the air. The walls were covered in shining words, and the seats seemed to invite them to sit down. The Fox explained that this place was the Word Theater, where stories come to life. Éline and Jasper are excited to discover what awaits them in this new adventure, ready to write their own story with the magical words they have learned to master.
