📝 Quick summary of key information

Why do flowers change color with the light?

Light is like an invisible paint that colors our world. It comes from the sun and helps flowers grow and bloom. Without it, flowers couldn't do photosynthesis, a magical process that gives them energy.

The sun's light changes the color of flowers a lot. For example, some flowers turn more red or more blue under strong sunlight. It's like they wear sunglasses to protect themselves!

Some flowers change color with the light. For example, hibiscus flowers can turn from white to pink in the sun. It's a bit like a chameleon changing color to protect itself.

Claude Monet was a famous painter who loved light. He often painted landscapes with light reflecting on water or flowers. His paintings show how light changes throughout the day.

Impressionism is a style of painting that captures feelings and sensations. Impressionists love to paint scenes with lots of light and bright colors. They use color strokes to create shiny effects and reflections.

Why do flowers change color with the light?

The Mystery of the Changing Reflections

After listening to the stories of the paintings in the long hallway, Lina and Hugo hear a soft melody. A Persian cat winks at them before disappearing into a secret door. Curious, they go through it and find themselves in a magical garden, where a pond with lily pads moves gently and weeping willows sing. Lina, with her blue beret(1) and paint-stained shirt, watches the reflections(2) in the water. Hugo, with his colorful jacket and round glasses splattered with paint, wonders why the colors seem to change.

Lina, curious, whispers:
« Look, Hugo, our reflections are changing. »

Hugo, frowning, asks:
« This is weird. Why are our colors moving? »

Lina, curious, says:
« I don't know. Let's go see closer. »

After walking to the water, they see a floating palette. Lina goes closer and reads the word carved on it: Impression. Hugo, curious, goes closer to the water and notices that the colors of the flowers change depending on the angle of the light.

Hugo, amazed, says:
« Lina, the flowers are changing color! »

Lina, amazed, says:
« It's true! And the butterflies too! »

Their own reflection changes in the water. They notice that their faces seem to change right before their eyes. Hugo, always curious, sees that the colors of their reflection change with the angle of the light, just like the flowers they saw earlier. Suddenly, they spot the floating palette again, but this time, it is clearer and the word Impression carved on it is clearly visible. A new clue appears before them.

The Secrets of the Light

Hugo and Lina look at the floating palette. They wonder what it means. The light dances on the water, creating magical reflections. The colors change over and over again.

Hugo, amazed, shouts:
« It's magical! The colors are moving. »

Lina, amazed, shouts:
« Look, the flowers change color too, just like the reflections in the water! »

Hugo, curious, asks then:
« Why do the colors change? »

Lina, curious about the mystery of colors, suggests:
« I don't know. Let's go see Claude Monet. »

As they watch their changing reflections, a majestic(3) swan(4) glides on the water and stops in front of them. They follow it to a secret door that opens into a workshop full of gears(5), flying plans(6), and unfinished canvases. Painting machines move all by themselves! Lina and Hugo understand that every brushstroke can transform the world. They promise to keep exploring the mysteries of art and nature. Their next adventure awaits, full of colors and surprises.
