📝 Quick summary of key information
Where does the water go after the rain?
Rainwater is very important for our planet. But where does it go after it falls on the ground? Rainwater often goes to rivers and streams. These waterways carry the water to the seas and oceans.
Rivers are very important for animals and plants because they give them the water they need to live. They play a big role in keeping ecosystems balanced.
Rainwater can also seep into the ground and fill the water tables, or evaporate to form clouds. These clouds travel in the sky and eventually release their water as rain, continuing the water cycle.
Rainwater helps plants grow and animals drink, keeping nature in balance. It is very important for life on Earth and plays a big role in our environment.

River Curious
Where does the water go after the rain?
The River Ride
After playing on the big green leaf that sounded (1) like a drum, Plim and Plam, two little drops of water, heard the song of nature. A blue tit that had perched on the nearby branch sang with them. Then, they slid gently down to the ground, ready to continue their adventure. They found themselves in a lively river that flows while singing. This river was River Curious, full of life and energy, always ready to explore the world around her. She has clear waters and bright green reflections that show her endless (2) curiosity. She often carries fast currents and colorful bends (3), perfect for her daily adventures. She has winding banks that add to her unique charm. Plim was curious to know where this new adventure would take them, while Plam, full of imagination, turned every step into a game, a song, or a riddle.
Plim, curious, asks:
« River Curious, where are we going? »
Plam, full of imagination, wonders:
« What adventures await us? »
River Curious, with her sparkling eyes, starts to talk to them:
« You will see majestic mountains. You will meet funny fish. »
Plim, curious, asks:
« Are the fish funny? »
Plam, excited, tells us:
« Yes, the fish swim between the rocks. They play and jump. »
River Curious, with her sparkling eyes, starts to speak: « You will see majestic mountains and funny fish swimming between the rocks. They play and jump. But did you know that rivers like me are very important? We help animals and plants live, and we keep the balance of ecosystems (4). It's thanks to us that everything can keep growing and thriving (5). »
River Curious whispers a secret to them: at the end of the journey, there is the Ocean of Reunions, where everything starts again. Plim and Plam were delighted by this revelation and can't wait to see what awaits them.
The Secret of the Ocean
After hearing this secret, Plim and Plam continued their journey. They swam faster, eager to see the Ocean of Reunions.
Plim, curious, asks:
« What's in the Ocean of Meetings? »
River Curious, her eyes shining with excitement, explains:
« The Ocean of Meetings is huge. There are waves, fish, and islands. »
Plam, eyes sparkling with excitement, asks:
« Will we see dolphins? »
River Curious, with a big smile, says:
« Yes, there are dolphins. They jump and play with the waves. »
Plim, curious, asks:
« Will we meet friends there? »
River Curious, with a mysterious smile, says to them:
« You will meet lots of new friends. The water changes and moves to new places. »
After sliding on the leaves and diving into the rivers, Plim and Plam meet River Curious, who flows while singing. She tells them stories about mountains and funny fish. They learn that every stream and river has a unique voice and tales to share. Plim and Plam are amazed (6) by this adventure and can't wait to see what awaits them in the Ocean of Reunions. They understand that water is essential for life on Earth and that it travels endlessly, bringing life and beauty everywhere it goes. They are ready to explore new horizons (7) and discover the secrets of nature.
