📝 Quick summary of key information
What can a river tell those who listen to it?
Rivers are like water paths that go through mountains, forests, villages, and plains. They tell amazing stories to those who take the time to listen.
Water from rivers comes from rain that falls from the sky. It flows gently, forming small streams that join together to become big rivers.
Rivers keep traveling to the seas and oceans. They carry water, nutrients, and sediments, feeding the land and all living things along the way.
Rivers go through many different landscapes, offering beautiful views and homes for many animals. They are very important for life on Earth.

The Chatty River
What can a river tell those who listen?
The Tales of Beavers and Frogs
After diving into the lively river that flows while singing, Plim and Plam listen to the tales (1) of the mountains and the funny fish, like the trout that jump and the crayfish (2) that scratch the pebbles (3). They discover the journey (4) of the water after the rain, all while admiring the landscapes and the aquatic (5) inhabitants. Plim, the joyful and curious water droplet, and Plam, the round droplet with rainbow reflections and a little cloud on her head like a hat, are amazed by the stories the river tells them. They let the current carry them, ready to discover new adventures.
Plim, amazed, says:
« Look, Plam! A beaver is building a dam. »
Plam, with sparkling eyes, exclaims:
« It's Beaver Tintin! He is very curious and inventive. »
Beaver Tintin, while working, says to them:
« Hello, Plim and Plam! See, I'm cutting the wood with my teeth. »
Plam, amazed, says:
« Wow! You're building a strong house. »
Beaver Tintin, while continuing his work, adds:
« Yes, and I am building a dam to protect my territory. »
The river promises more wonders to come, and leads them to a big bend (6) that sparkles in the sun.
The Wonders of the Sparkling Bend
Plim and Plam continue their journey and arrive at a big bend that sparkles in the sun.
Plam, amazed, says:
« Look, Plim! The water sparkles. »
Plim, curious, says:
« It's the sunlight shining. »
Plam, amazed, says:
« It's so pretty! »
After admiring the sparkling water, they continue their journey. They find colorful flowers floating on the water.
Plam, amazed, shouts:
« What beautiful flowers! »
Plim, curious, explains: « These are water lilies. They clean (7) the water. »
Plam, amazed, says:
« It's magical! »
With one last laugh, the two drops of water let the current carry them away. They will soon discover hidden mysteries, caves lit up by fireflies, and building beavers. They might also see dragonflies hovering over the water. Plim and Plam promise to keep exploring and learning together, discovering nature's secrets and sharing their adventures with their friends. They know that every journey is a new chance to find wonders and be amazed by the beauty of the world around them.
