📝 Quick summary of key information

What if water started its journey again and again?

The water cycle is a never-ending journey that water takes on Earth. Imagine a drop of water going up into the sky, turning into a cloud, and then falling back down to Earth. Isn't that magical?

There are four main steps. First, evaporation: the sun heats the water in rivers, lakes, and oceans, and it rises into the sky. Next, condensation: the water cools down and forms clouds. Then, precipitation: the clouds fill up and the water falls back as rain or snow. Finally, runoff: the water flows on the ground, goes back into the rivers, and starts its journey again.

Understanding the water cycle is very important. It helps us to respect and protect this precious resource. All living things, from plants to animals and humans, need water to live.

To protect water, we can do simple things. Avoid wasting water by closing the taps when you are not using them. And don't forget to pick up trash to keep rivers and oceans clean.

The Magic Water Cycle

What if water started its journey again and again?

Back to the Sky

After joining the big ocean, Plim and Plam, two little drops of water, sparkled(1) in the sun while singing with the waves. They met fish, dolphins, and whales that were swimming happily. Their journey seemed to be ending, but a gentle sea breeze(2) was already whispering new adventures to them. The sun's warmth pulled them towards the sky.

Plim, excited, shouts:
« Plam, look at the sky. We are going to travel again. »

Plam, full of excitement, says:
« Yes, Plim. The sun is calling us. Let's go. »

Soon after, they rose into the sky, carried by the sun's warmth. They turned into vapor(3), dancing and swirling, light as feathers. Then, they saw a big, fluffy(4) cloud, ready to welcome them into its soft(5) hug(6).

Plim, with a sparkling smile, says:
« Plam, you are a round drop with rainbow colors, and you have a little cloud on your head like a hat. Let's go play. »

Plam, amazed, says:
« Plim, look how the sunlight turns you into magic! What if we imagine that every drop becomes a little shining star? »

A last drop of light forms a perfect circle in the sky. The magic cycle begins again... with a wink.

The Discovery of Nature

The perfect circle shines in the sky. Plim and Plam watch the show. They know their adventure goes on.

Plim, amazed, says:
« Plam, did you see? The sky is full of stars. »

Plam, amazed, whispers:
« Yes, Plim. It's wonderful. It looks like little lights. »

Plim, amazed, suggests:
« What if we count the stars? »

Plam, always ready to turn every moment into a game, starts to count:
« Okay, Plim. One, two, three... »

They count together, amazed by the beauty of the sky. They know that every star is unique, just like every drop of water.

Now that Plim and Plam have discovered the water cycle, they know new adventures await them. Maybe they will meet a curious red fish in a pond or a little squirrel trying to understand why leaves change color in the fall. The possibilities are endless(7), and every droplet of water has a story to tell. A last drop of light forms a perfect circle in the sky. The magical cycle begins again… with a wink.
