📝 Quick summary of key information

How do rain, storms, and rainbows happen?

Clouds form because winds carry moisture in the air. Imagine invisible balloons that puff up and become visible when they are full of water.

When clouds are very full of water, they get heavy and it rains. It's like balloons bursting and letting the water flow out.

Hail is small balls of ice that fall from the sky. They form when it is very cold at the top of the clouds and the water freezes as it falls.

Snow also forms in the clouds, but it is soft and light. When it is very cold, the water in the clouds freezes and falls as small white flakes.

Rainbows appear when the sun's rays pass through raindrops. It's like a game of light that creates beautiful colors in the sky.

The Big Meteor Cloud

How do rain, storms, and rainbows happen?

The Meteor Initiation

After dancing on the waves of the Trade Wind(1) Ocean, Zéphir and Brisa, two curious winds(2), head towards a giant sparkling cloud. They are joined by Weather Cloud, their friend who is always ready to share her weather knowledge. Together, they are about to discover the mysteries of the weather phenomena(3) hiding in this big cloud. Zéphir and Brisa watch lightning and hear thunder. They are amazed by these phenomena.

Zéphir, curious, asks:
« What are these lights and that loud noise? »

Weather Cloud, always curious, starts to explain: « Winds help to make clouds. They fill up with moisture(4). Then rain, hail, or snow is born. »

Zéphir, full of excitement, announces: « I want to create a little storm. I am going to create rising(5) winds. »

Brisa, watching Zéphir's movements, says:
« Be careful Zéphir. You are going too fast. Look, you are making it rain a few drops. »

Brisa blows softly. She scatters the water droplets. A rainbow appears. Weather Cloud laughs as she sees the efforts of the two winds. She explains that each weather event has its own conditions. Zéphir, the little fluffy white cloud, decides to understand how to create a real storm.

They discover that a gentle breath in the right spot can bring soft rains or magical storms.

The Birth of Storms

Zéphir and Brisa decide to watch the sky carefully. They want to understand how storms are born, after finding out that gentle breaths can bring soft rains or magical storms.

Weather Cloud, with a mischievous smile, starts to explain:
« Storms are born when warm air rises quickly. »

Zéphir, with a mischievous smile, then announces:
« I am going to blow very hard to make the warm air rise. »

Brisa, with a mischievous smile, says:
« Wait, Zéphir. You must blow gently. »

Zéphir, ready to try a new approach, says:
« Okay, I will try to blow gently like you said, Brisa. Maybe that will bring up the warm air without causing a storm that's too strong. »

Brisa blows softly. She guides the warm air upwards. A storm cloud begins to form. Weather Cloud explains that lightning happens when the electrical(6) charges are too strong.

After watching lightning and rainbows, it is time for Zéphir and Brisa to discover new wonders. They head to a huge sparkling cloud, where amazing things like lightning, thunder, and colorful arcs are formed. They watch as soft rains or magical storms are born, just by blowing. Weather Cloud, their loyal guide, explains that cold winds, like their new friend Boreal(7), the polar wind, are essential for keeping our planet's climate in balance. Together, they continue to explore the mysteries of the weather, always with Weather Cloud by their side.
