📝 Quick summary of key information

Can you really make a wooden machine fly?

A flying machine is something that lets you go up in the air. For a long time, people have dreamed of flying like birds. They have imagined amazing machines to make this dream come true.

During the Renaissance, inventors like Leonardo da Vinci had great ideas. Leonardo da Vinci drew flying machines inspired by nature. He watched birds and tried to copy their movements.

Leonardo da Vinci's workshop was a magical place where his ideas came to life. He drew pictures and made models to test his inventions. He even imagined a flying machine called the ornithopter, which looked like a big mechanical bird.

Today, we can make wooden machines fly, like kites or gliders. These simple machines show that Leonardo da Vinci's dreams can come true. Imagine flying like a bird, with a wooden machine!

Maestro Luca's Workshop

Can you really make a wooden machine fly?

The wonders of the workshop

After exploring the Port of Wonders, Léandro and Sofia head to Maestro Luca's workshop. At the Port of Wonders, Léandro and Sofia explored stalls filled with exotic treasures. They saw parrots with shiny feathers talking to merchants and agile monkeys climbing on piles of colorful silks. Sofia noted every detail in her notebook, while Léandro marveled at golden globes and chests full of unknown objects, each telling a story of travel and discovery. Now, they venture into a place where imagination comes to life: Maestro Luca's workshop.

Sofia, with wide eyes, exclaims:
« Wow! This is amazing! »

Léandro, amazed, says:
« Look at all these birds! »

Sofia, amazed, shouts: « And these gears(1)! They sing! »

Léandro, his eyes shining with excitement, exclaims:
« I want to see the plans! »

Maestro Luca, with a mysterious smile, says: « Here is a mechanical(2) key. It opens the hidden room of the Palace of Arts. »

Léandro and Sofia look at each other, excited about this new mission. They know that big adventures await them. They will leave tomorrow at dawn.

The mechanical key

The next day, at sunrise, Léandro and Sofia get ready for their adventure. They check their bags, filled with sketches and tools. Their excitement is in the air.

Léandro, after checking their bags one last time, says:
« We are ready! »

Sofia, excited, says:
« Yes, let's go quickly! »

After checking their bags, they are led by Maestro Luca to the exit of the workshop. The door closes behind them, and they head towards the Palace of Arts. The path is long, but their determination is strong. They walk quickly, eager to discover the secrets of the hidden room.

Léandro, eyes sparkling with excitement, asks:
« Do you think we'll find treasures? »

Sofia, her eyes sparkling with excitement, says:
« Maybe old drawings. Or machines. »

Arriving at the Palace of Arts, they feel overwhelmed by the grandeur of the building(3). Armed with the mechanical key, they venture into the starry night, heading towards the main entrance. The imposing(4) building looms in the distance, lit up by the soft glow of lanterns(5). Inside, automatons powered by clever(6) mechanisms guide them to colorful frescoes(7), marble sculptures, and musical automatons. Colorful frescoes, marble sculptures, and musical automatons are discovered by the young boy with the explorer's leather hat, beige cape, and compass always attached to his belt, Léandro, and Sofia. Can you learn by looking at paintings? The answer is yes, because every piece of art tells a story and teaches something new. Their adventure continues, and they wonder what other wonders they will discover on their next escapade.
