The Colosseum and the Gladiator's Treasure

What really happened in the arena?

Entering the Colosseum

In a noisy part of the Forum, Maximus and Livia listen to merchants talking about their treasures. Among the stalls, a merchant sells an exotic(1) parrot that repeats words in Greek. Curious(2), they decide to leave the market to explore other wonders of Rome. After walking for a while, they see the big(3) shape of the Colosseum standing in front of them. Livia, curious, asks Maximus if he knows what really happened in this arena(4). Maximus, proud of his knowledge, tells her stories of gladiators and epic(5) fights. But Livia, always eager to learn more, wants to know more. Together, they decide to enter the empty Colosseum to uncover its mysteries.

Livia, amazed, whispers:
« It's so big here. It looks like a secret world. »

Maximus, amazed, says:
« Yes, it's huge. Look, stone seats. »

Livia, amazed, whispers:
« There were lots of people here before. They watched the fights. »

Maximus, with wide eyes, says:
« Gladiators fought here. They were strong and brave. »

After listening to the echoes of the past, they walk under the seats. Livia touches the cold stones. Maximus watches the shadows. They look for clues. They want to understand the mysteries of the Colosseum.

Under the stands, they find an old metal helmet decorated with a blue feather. There is a message carved on it. Maximus and Livia look at each other, curious. They wonder what it could mean.

The treasure hunt

Maximus and Livia look at the helmet carefully. They study the carved message with great care. The letters are old and worn out by time, making them hard to read(6). Livia, with her white dress and braid tied with a magic pearl, looks at the message with curiosity.

Maximus, frowning, says:
« It's hard to read. Help me, Livia. »

Livia, after squinting, says:
« I see letters. Look, it's a word. »

Maximus, after figuring out the letters, says:
« Yes, it's bravery. The word is bravery. »

After they solved the riddle, they look for more clues. They find pictures on the walls. The pictures show gladiators fighting.

Livia, curious, whispers:
« Look, symbols. They are hidden. »

Maximus, after squinting, says:
« Yes, I see them. They are small and hidden. »

Curious about the hidden symbols on the frescos, Maximus and Livia decide to follow them. They are led through the corridors of the Colosseum, where the echoes of the past still resonate. The symbols guide them to an ancient training room of the legionnaires, where traces of their discipline and courage are still visible. The eagles, symbols of Rome, and the war horses, ready to gallop at any moment, seem still present. Then a friendly, glowing ghost appears, praising the children for their discovery. It reminds them of the importance of inner strength and promises to guide them to new adventures, where they can discover more secrets of ancient Rome. Maximus and Livia, filled with new knowledge and courage, are already preparing for their next adventure, ready to explore other wonders of the Roman Empire.
