The Riddle of the Lost Scrolls

What if all the clues hide one big secret?

The Mysterious Clues

After watching the marble statues and singing birds in Diana's garden, it was clear that Maximus and Livia were ready for new adventures. The scrolls and maps they had collected guided them to a new quest. The blue tits, with their sweet songs, seemed to encourage them to continue their journey(1). The two children, with their endless curiosity, wondered what the symbols on the ancient stone(2) hid. Once they put the scrolls, maps, and symbols together, they were finally ready to solve the riddle(3).

Maximus, his eyes shining with excitement, says:
« Look, Livia, all these scrolls and maps. We need to put them together. »

Livia, with a cheeky smile, says:
« Yes, Maximus. They make a puzzle. We need to find the riddle. »

Maximus, full of hope, then suggests:
« Let's go to the Roman forum. Maybe the statues will help us. »

Not long after, they find themselves at the Roman Forum. The merchants shout and the statues shine in the sun. Maximus and Livia look at the details of the frescoes(4) and columns. They search for hidden symbols.

Livia, curious, says:
« Maximus, look at these writings on the stones. They make a map. »

By putting them together like a puzzle, they solve a riddle: 'Those who search with their hearts open the doors to the past.

The Riddle Solved

Maximus and Livia are amazed. They understand that the treasure is hidden in the old words. They need to share this knowledge with the other children.

Livia, after looking at the scrolls, says:
« Maximus, we need to find more clues. »

Maximus, full of energy, then suggests: « Let's go to the Roman Colosseum(5). Maybe the gladiators(6) left some clues. »

After walking a few kilometers, they arrive at the Colosseum. The huge walls and stone seats impress them. They look for hidden signs on the walls.

Livia, after reading carefully, says:
« Maximus, look at this inscription. It talks about a clever and energetic boy. »

Maximus, eyes sparkling, says:
« Yes, and here is a map. It shows a secret place. »

With their riddle solved, the two children head to the Forum, where a group of kids eagerly awaits them. Together, they discover that the greatest treasure left by the Roman Empire is not gold, but knowledge. Indeed, the knowledge, stories, and lessons of courage passed down by the Romans are priceless(7). Guided by a Roman sheepdog named Lupus, they begin to share their adventures and discoveries. Maximus, with his red tunic, golden cape, and wooden helmet decorated with a blue feather, and Livia, with her white dress, golden belt, and braid tied with a magic pearl, are already preparing for their next adventure. They know that every stone, every statue, and every symbol still hides mysteries to be uncovered. Their endless curiosity drives them to explore more, learn, and share their knowledge with other children. Thus, they continue to have extraordinary adventures on the cobblestone streets of ancient Rome, where every day is a new discovery.
