📝 Quick summary of key information

Why is it important to keep old things safe?

An old thing is something that was made a very long time ago. It could be a toy, a tool, or even clothes. These things tell us stories about how people lived long ago.

Old things are important because they help us understand how people lived before us. For example, an old doll can show us how children used to play. It can also teach us about the materials used back then.

These things tell us amazing stories. They show us how people lived, worked, and had fun. For example, an old book can tell us what stories were popular a long time ago.

It's really important to keep these things so future kids can learn about our past. If we don't save them, we might lose part of our history. Imagine if we didn't know how our grandparents lived!

To help keep old things safe, we can put them away carefully and show them to our friends and family. We can also visit museums and take part in activities that talk about the past. This way, we keep memories alive forever.

The Hidden Treasures of Blois

Why is it important to preserve old objects?

The Secret Rooms of Blois

After leaving the castle of Amboise, Eleanor and Louis, along with their loyal dog, a beagle named Biscuit, head towards the castle of Blois. Their hearts are still filled with the epic(1) tales of the knights they heard. They now know how these heroes of old(2) protected their lands and people, and how their adventures shaped(3) the history of France. Today, they are eager to discover the hidden(4) mysteries in the secret rooms of the castle of Blois.

Not long after, they enter a room filled with hidden treasures. Eleanor and Louis are amazed by their beauty and rarity. They find wardrobes full of old clothes, wooden chests, and heavy gold furniture.

Eleanor, amazed, says:
« Look, Louis, these clothes are so old! »

Louis, amazed, shouts:
« And these chests, they are wonderful! »

After exploring a first room, they discover a hidden door behind a tapestry. Eleanor, with her sharp eyes, notices a small hidden mechanism(5). By pressing it, the door slowly opens, revealing a new room filled with treasures.

Eleanor, her eyes shining with excitement, exclaims:
« Louis, there is a spiral staircase! »

Louis, always ready to solve puzzles, warns:
« Watch out, it turns the other way! »

Once at the top of the stairs, they discover secret rooms filled with hidden treasures. Amazed by their beauty and rarity, they quickly understand the importance of preserving these objects to learn about the history and culture of the people who lived in the castle. They know that every piece, every object tells a story and that it is essential to protect them for future generations.

Saving Old Things

Louis and Eleanor enter a new room filled with treasures. They see colorful ceramic(6) objects, carved wooden items, and delicate fabrics. Each object tells a unique story.

Eleanor, amazed, says:
« Louis, look at this ceramic plate! »

Louis, amazed, shouts:
« It is so beautiful! »

Eleanor, amazed, says:
« It is hand-painted. People from long ago loved colorful patterns. »

Louis, amazed, says:
« And this wooden chest, it's wonderful! »

Eleanor, amazed, says:
« It is carved with scenes from the lives of kings and queens. »

After exploring the secret rooms of Blois and discovering fascinating treasures, Eleanor and Louis head to the Enchanted Gardens of Cheverny. They are amazed to see white swans gliding gracefully on the ponds and colorful flowers dancing in the wind. They learn how the gardens influence our well-being by offering a haven of peace and natural beauty. Biscuit, their faithful friend, joyfully runs through the gardens, catching the attention of the children. They promise to come back often to explore the hidden mysteries of the French castles and to continue preserving the treasures of the past. Their next adventure awaits, full of surprises and discoveries.
