📝 Quick summary of key information

How can a decoration turn a room into a magical world?

The decorator is a magician of spaces. He uses textures, colors, and objects to create a special atmosphere in a room. He turns a simple corner into a world full of surprises and adventures.

Textures make a room feel soft or rough. For example, a fluffy rug is like a cloud where you can jump and bounce. A rough tapestry can remind you of a mysterious forest.

Colors are very important. They can make a room happy with bright shades or calm with soft tones. Imagine a blue bedroom like the sky or a yellow playroom like the sun.

Things tell stories. Toys, books, or furniture can take you to another world. An old wooden chest might hide treasures, and a library full of books can open doors to amazing adventures.

The Decorator Genius

How can decorating turn a room into a magical world?

The Magic of Decorating

After watching Malo the sculptor(1) shape clay with his skillful hands, Inaya and Tom left the workshop, amazed(2) by the funny creatures and colorful statues that seemed almost alive. As they made their way to the Sewing & Decor Workshop, they couldn't stop thinking about the magic of the shapes and colors they had just discovered. No sooner had they stepped through the door than their eyes lit up at the sight of Mrs Palette, a woman with multicolored hair dressed like a living painting, with necklaces of paintbrushes and a mischievous look, who beckoned them to join her. She led them to a corner of the workshop where a young man with tousled hair and a paint-splattered apron was busy at work. It was Gaël the Decorator(3), who turned every space into a truly enchanted world.

Inaya, curious, asks:
« Hello Gaël the Decorator, what are you doing? »

Tom, jumping around, shouts:
« Yes, this is pretty here! »

Gaël the Decorator, with an enthusiastic smile, explains: « I create a special atmosphere(4) with colors and textures. Warm colors, like red and orange, bring warmth and energy. Cool colors, like blue and green, create a calm atmosphere. »

Inaya and Tom were listening carefully. Gaël the Decorator showed them patterns and textures. The geometric(5) patterns reminded them of city landscapes. The floral patterns brought to mind enchanted gardens. He also talked to them about primary(6) colors: red, blue, and yellow. They are the basis for all other colors.

Inaya, curious, asks:
« How do you mix colors? »

Tom, his eyes sparkling with excitement, exclaims:
« Yes, I want to create new shades. »

Gaël the Decorator, with an enthusiastic smile, starts to explain:
« Mix red and blue to make purple. Blue and yellow make green. Red and yellow make orange. You can create different moods with these colors. »

Inaya and Tom were fascinated. They helped Gaël the Decorator stick a starry curtain on a wall. While doing so, Tom spotted an old drawing sewn into the fabric: another clue to solve the Academy's riddle(7).

The Mysterious Clue

After finding the old drawing, Inaya and Tom looked at each other with sparkling eyes. They felt that each clue brought them closer to the secret of the Academy.

Inaya, curious, asks:
« What is this drawing? »

Tom, eyes wide open, whispers then:
« I don't know, but it's beautiful. »

Inaya, curious, points at the fabric and says:
« Look, there are stars and shapes. »

Tom, patting the fabric, says:
« Yes, and lines that cross each other. It's like a map. »

Inaya and Tom decided to show their discovery to Mrs Palette. They ran to her office, holding the drawing in their hands. Mrs Palette greeted them with a smile.

After finding the mysterious drawing sewn into the curtain, the two friends were led by Mrs Palette to another corner of the workshop. She excitedly showed them how to use fabrics and buttons to create enchanting costumes. She explained that costumes were another way to tell stories and transform characters. Inaya and Tom discovered that imagination was the key to creating magical clothes. They spent the afternoon making fairy, prince, and dragon costumes using colorful fabrics and shiny buttons. They couldn't wait to see how their creations would come to life on stage. Once their costumes were finished, they were directed to the Star Theater, ready for a new adventure full of magic and creativity.
