📝 Quick summary of key information

How can we make costumes with fabric, buttons, and lots of imagination?

Sewing is the art of stitching fabrics together to make clothes. It's like drawing with threads and needles! It helps to create unique and fun costumes.

A fashion designer is someone who imagines and draws clothes. They use their imagination to create unique outfits. It's a bit like a magician who turns pieces of fabric into magical clothes.

To make a costume, you need to choose colors and shapes. Colors can make a costume happy or mysterious. Shapes can be round, square, or even heart-shaped! Buttons and other accessories add details that make each costume unique.

Clothes can tell a story. For example, a pirate costume with an eye patch and a wooden sword can tell the adventure of a brave sailor. Each part of the costume helps to tell this story.

The Fashion Designer's Sewing

How can we make costumes with fabric, buttons, and lots of imagination?

The Magic of Fabrics

After exploring the Sewing & Decor Workshop with Gaël, the silly(1) decorator(2) with hair as colorful as a peacock, Inaya and Tom leave the workshop, amazed by the creations they saw. They learned how a simple decoration can transform a room into a magical world by adding colors and shapes to stimulate imagination. Their curiosity piqued, they decide to stay in the workshop to discover more wonders. That's when they meet Mrs Palette, the director(3) of the Academy(4), an artist who loves to try new things(5), with multicolored hair, dressed like a living painting, with necklaces of paintbrushes and a mischievous look, who offers to introduce them to Lila the Fashion Designer, a stylist full of ideas.

Mrs Palette, with a beaming smile, announces:
« Inaya, Tom, meet Lila the Fashion Designer. She will show you how to create magical clothes. »

Lila the Fashion Designer, with a big smile, asks:
« Hi, I am Lila. Do you want to make costumes with me? »

Inaya, her eyes sparkling with excitement, says:
« Yes, we want to! »

Tom, his eyes sparkling with excitement, asks:
« This is great! What do we start with? »

Lila the Fashion Designer, excited, says:
« Let's explore the shelves. There are lots of fabrics, buttons, and threads. »

Inaya and Tom follow Lila the Fashion Designer. They find colorful fabrics, shiny buttons, and threads of every color. Lila explains that sewing can create clothes and costumes. She shows them how to choose the right colors and patterns. Inaya decides to sew a rainbow cape. Tom creates pants with music note patterns by tapping on objects to find inspiration. Together, they discover that every stitch, every seam, can tell a unique story. Inaya finds a small golden ribbon with a mysterious symbol: a new part of their big artistic(6) mission(7).

The Mysterious Symbol

After finding the golden ribbon, Inaya and Tom keep exploring the shelves with Lila the Fashion Designer. They find buttons of all shapes and shiny threads. Lila shows them how to pick the right accessories for their costumes.

Lila the Fashion Designer, amazed, shows:
« Look at these buttons! They can turn into stars or flowers. »

Inaya, eyes sparkling, exclaims:
« I love these buttons! I'm going to put them on my cape. »

Tom, while jumping around, says:
« And I will put some on my pants. »

Lila the Fashion Designer, with a big bright smile, suggests:
« Great! You can also add ribbons and beads. »

Inaya adds ribbons and beads to her creations. She sews carefully, adding magical details. Her costumes are taking shape and already tell a story.

After sewing a rainbow cape with Lila the Fashion Designer, Inaya finds a small golden ribbon with a mysterious symbol: a new part of their big artistic mission. Then, Lila invites Inaya and Tom to visit Mrs Palette to show her their creations. Mrs Palette is delighted and offers them a chance to participate in a special show where their costumes can be presented. Inaya and Tom are eager to show their work and find out what the future holds. Every stitch, every seam, tells a story. They are ready to continue their adventure at the Academy of Wonderful Arts, where every day is a new discovery and a new inspiration.
