Firefighters need to train to be ready for all emergencies. They must be strong, fast, and agile to save lives. Training helps them stay fit and know the best ways to act quickly.

During their training, the firefighters do different exercises. They run, climb ladders, and carry heavy equipment. They also practice rescue drills to learn how to react quickly and well. These activities help them become more agile, strong, and fast.

Firefighters use special tools to practice. They use water hoses to learn how to control water streams. They jump over obstacles with nets, which helps them become more skilled and overcome challenges. These tools are important for their training.

The Hero Course

How do firefighters train to become strong and fast?

The Hero Course Challenge

After discovering the shiny(1) red trucks and powerful sirens, Jun and Assoumata, two energetic kids, were amazed(2) by the many rescue tools. They met Captain Spark, a tall firefighter with a reassuring smile, a red mustache, and a reflective(3) jacket, who showed them the helmets and boots of the young firefighter trainees(4). The kids were then eager to start their first missions.

Jun, impatient, asks:
« Captain, when do we start? »

Assoumata, with a big smile, says:
« We are ready! We want to train with you, Captain Spark! »

Captain Spark smiles. He shows them the Hero Course. Jun and Assoumata start. They crawl under nets. They climb ladders. They run fast. They jump over obstacles.

Jun, after jumping over an obstacle, asks:
« Assoumata, are you coming? »

Assoumata, after checking her gear, says:
« I'm coming, Jun! »

After running, they find a fake fire. They take a mini water spray. They put out the fire together. They are happy. They succeeded.

At the end of the course, they find a small medal hidden under a cone. Engraved(5) on it: an old helmet with a flame… What a mystery(6)!

The Mystery of the Medal

Jun and Assoumata look at the medal. They are curious(7). They want to know more.

Jun, excited, asks:
« Assoumata, should we show it to Captain Spark? »

Assoumata, after thinking for a moment, says:
« Yes, great idea! »

They run to Captain Spark. They show him the medal. Captain Spark smiles.

Captain Spark, after looking at the medal, says:
« This medal is special. It belongs to an old firefighter. »

Captain Spark, with a mysterious smile, explains:
« He hid medals to encourage the young ones. »

With the medal in hand, Jun and Assoumata feel even more determined to uncover the secrets of the fire station. Captain Spark then takes them to the Truck Garage. Jun is amazed by the giant ladder and the flashing lights. He explains why fire trucks are so special. Their next adventure is already waiting, full of challenges and discoveries.
