Animal Rescue Mission

How can we help an animal in trouble?

The Rescue Mission

After exploring the Danger House and spotting the badly placed handles and sharp objects, Jun and Assoumata feel ready to take on new adventures. Their last mission(1)(2) made them even more attentive to details, especially when it comes to saving a Persian cat stuck on a roof. Captain Spark, their mentor(3), taught them the importance of being alert(4) and quick. One morning, an alarm goes off at the Little Firefighters Station. An urgent call awaits them: a cat is stuck on the roof of a neighbor's house. Without wasting a second, Jun and Assoumata rush to the Truck Garage, where the red truck is already waiting, ready to go.

Jun, determined, says to his friend:
« Assoumata, we need to be quick. »

Assoumata, always ready to take charge, says:
« Jun, get the ladder. I will call Captain Spark. »

Jun, after checking that the ladder was in place, said:
« Okay, I'm going up. You stay down here. »

Assoumata, with a confident smile, says:
« I am ready. Captain Spark is coming. »

Jun, climbing the ladder, says:
« The cat is scared. I will reassure him. »

After making the cat feel safe and helping it down from the roof, Jun and Assoumata realize they still have more to do. While checking the roof, they find a small medallion under a tile. It has a paw print with a circle around it… another mysterious clue(5)!

The Mystery of the Medal

Jun picks up the medallion. He shows it to Assoumata. They are curious. They want to know more.

Jun, eyes shining with curiosity, asks:
« Assoumata, do you think it's important? »

Assoumata, after thinking for a moment, said:
« Yes, Jun. We must show it to Captain Spark. »

With the medallion in hand, Jun and Assoumata go to Captain Spark to show him their discovery. After showing the medallion to Captain Spark, a special exercise(6) is organized on the Heroes' Course: a simulated fire has started in a little house. The children are then invited to take part in this simulation. The water hose is taken, and the actions are done quickly! They must learn to put out a fire safely, protecting animals like the cat they saved. The simulation is intense, but the two children are up to the task. The techniques learned are used to control the fire and rescue animals in danger.

Captain Spark, proud of his students, says:
« Well done, Jun and Assoumata. You were quick and efficient. »

Jun, proud of himself, says:
« Thank you, Captain Spark. We did a great job. »

Assoumata, with a happy smile, says:
« Yes, we have learned lots of things. »

Captain Spark thinks for a moment before speaking: « This medal might belong to an animal protection club. You will need to investigate(7) further. »

Jun and Assoumata look at each other with excitement, ready for their next mission. The day has been full of learning and adventures, but one thing is for sure: they are ready to do anything to protect animals in need.
