📝 Quick summary of key information
How do firefighters put out a fire safely?
Firefighters use a water hose to put out the flames. The hose shoots water very fast, like a long, wet tongue, to cool down the fire. The colder the water, the better it is at putting out the flames.
Cooling down the flames is very important. By lowering the temperature, water stops the fire from spreading. It's like giving a big glass of water to someone who is very hot: it calms and soothes.
Firefighters use the water hose to create a wall of water around the fire. This stops the flames from jumping to other things and spreading. It's like building a barrier to protect a castle.
To fight a fire well, firefighters must be precise and coordinated. They must work together like a team of superheroes, each having an important role to save lives and property.

How do firefighters put out a fire safely?
The Preparation and the Rescue
After saving a pretty Persian (1) cat from the roof, Jun and Assoumata feel proud and confident. Thanks to this mission, they learned to stay calm and use the right tools to help animals in need (2). Their adventure also brought them closer, strengthening their team spirit. They are ready for new missions at the Little Firefighters Station (3). One morning, Captain Spark, with his red mustache and reassuring smile, calls them for a new mission. A fire has started in a little house on the Heroes Path (4). The children get ready quickly, putting on their red uniforms and adjusting their shiny helmets. Assoumata checks her walkie-talkie while Jun makes sure the water hose is fully loaded.
Captain Spark, with his strong and reassuring voice, gives his instructions:
« Jun, Assoumata, head to the burning little house. »
Assoumata, focused, says:
« We are coming fast. Every second counts. »
Captain Spark, with his soothing voice, gives them instructions:
« Stay calm. Work together. Use the tools correctly. »
Jun takes the water hose. He starts to spray the flames. Assoumata watches the area. She looks for any sparks (5). They act quickly and carefully. They use the fan technique with the water hose. They cover a bigger area.
Assoumata, always watchful, warns:
« Be careful, Jun. There is a spark over there. »
Jun, focused, says:
« I'll water it right away. Good, the flames are out. »
After putting out the flames, they find a burnt piece of a map hanging on a railing. The next part of their puzzle (6) seems hot!
The Investigation and Discovery
Jun and Assoumata look at the burned piece of the map. They are curious to find out what it hides. They take the piece of the map and examine it carefully. They notice clues drawn on it.
Jun, excited, shows Assoumata:
« Assoumata, look. There is a drawing of the fire station. »
Assoumata, her eyes sparkling, says:
« Yes, and there is a red cross. It shows a secret place. »
Captain Spark, with a mysterious smile, comes closer and says:
« It's a treasure map. Follow the clues. You will find a special place. »
Jun and Assoumata follow the clues. They lead them to the Rescue Room. The children check their knowledge of first aid, as they learned with Captain Spark. Bandages and emergency care are practiced carefully.
Assoumata, who is getting ready to practice first aid, then asks:
« Jun, can you make a bandage? »
Jun, ready to help, says:
« Yes, I will help you. We do it together. »
After putting out the fire in the little house and finding the burnt piece of map, a new mission is given to Jun and Assoumata. This time, a special exercise is organized on the Heroes' Course. A small Labrador dog is in trouble and needs to be rescued! Jun and Assoumata must then rescue a stuffed toy stuck under some blocks. The tasks are shared with calm and teamwork. By learning to work together, they discover the essential collaboration during an emergency. Their adventure continues, and they are more ready than ever to become real everyday heroes.
