📝 Quick summary of key information
How do you know what a sick cuddly toy has?
Stuffed animals can sometimes be sick, just like us. To know if your stuffed animal is sick, you need to do some checks. Here's how to do it.
Taking the temperature of a stuffed toy helps to know if it has a fever. Fever is a sign that something is wrong. Use a kids' thermometer, it's easier.
Listening to the heart of your stuffed toy is also important. With a stethoscope, you can hear if its heart is beating normally. A heart that beats too fast or too slow might mean there is a problem.
Look at the outside signs. If the teddy has spots, coughs, or seems sad, it might be sick. Little details help a lot to make a good diagnosis.

Doctor Soft's First Diagnoses
How to know what's wrong with a sick teddy?
The Teddy Exam
After discovering the Little Healers Clinic (1), Éliott and Nour were eager (2) to start their new day. In the previous episode, they had met Doctor Soft, a man of medium height with soft, white hair like cotton, a kind (3) look, and round glasses, who showed them how to gently examine a feverish stuffed toy. Together, they noted the symptoms (4) on a funny sheet, discovering a shiny red heart, the first part of a healer's secret. That morning, Éliott and Nour went to the Stuffed Toy Room, ready to learn new techniques to care for their stuffed friends.
Not long after, Éliott leaned over a teddy bear. He gently placed his stethoscope on the teddy's tummy. He listened carefully.
Nour, after watching the teddy bear, says:
« I am going to take the temperature. »
Éliott, focused, says:
« Okay, I will listen to the heartbeat. »
After taking the temperature of the stuffed toy, Nour says:
« It's a bit warm, it's 37.5 degrees Celsius. »
Doctor Soft, after watching the children, then explains:
« The normal temperature of a stuffed toy is 36.5 degrees Celsius. It's a little warmer. »
While writing down the symptoms on a funny chart, the kids find a hidden drawing: a shiny red heart, the first part of a healer's secret.
The Secrets of Diagnosis
Éliott and Nour looked at the shiny red heart on the sheet. They were curious to find out what it meant.
Nour, curious about the drawing, asks:
« What does a red heart mean? »
Éliott, after thinking, says:
« It might be a sign of a fever. »
Doctor Soft, with a reassuring smile, says:
« That's right, Éliott. A red heart means the stuffed toy has a fever. We need to cool it down. »
Doctor Soft showed them how to put a cold compress on the teddy's forehead. He explained that this would help to lower the temperature.
Nour, after watching carefully, then asks:
« How do we know if it works? »
Doctor Soft, with a soft and reassuring voice, explains then:
« We take the temperature again after a few minutes. If it goes down, that's good. »
After discovering the shiny red heart, Éliott and Nour were eager to learn more about taking care of little patients. They went to the Mini Pharmacy, where Doctor Soft showed them how to make imaginary syrups and scented ointments. They learned to read the labels and measure the medicines precisely (5). Doctor Soft, with his round glasses, read the instructions carefully, while Nour mixed the ingredients with care. Once their work was done, they felt ready to take care of new stuffed friends. Doctor Soft, proud of their progress, told them they were ready for their next adventure. In the next episode, they would discover how to safely transport a sick stuffed friend on board the Fun Ambulance (6).
