📝 Quick summary of key information

How do you imagine a new, fun and useful product to sell?

A product is something you can buy, like a toy or a piece of clothing. For example, a ball or a t-shirt.

To invent a new product, you first need to watch what people like. For example, if you see that your friends love to draw, you could invent a magic pencil that changes color all by itself!

Next, you need to draw sketches, test the product, and change it until it is perfect. Testing a product is important to make sure it works well and that kids like it.

A fun and useful thing is something that makes you laugh and is good for something, like a ball that bounces really high and can also be used to play ball games.

How do you imagine a new, fun and useful product to sell?

Mila's brilliant idea

After exploring the wonders of Mini-Town for Little Entrepreneurs, Mila, a girl full of imagination, and Samy, a clever boy, find themselves in their shop at the Ideas Market. Mrs. Pitch, a sparkling former marketing(1) project manager with silver hair, round glasses, a colorful blazer, and sticky notes all over her, has shown them the basics of business. Together, they learned to listen to customers and imagine products that would please them. One morning, Mila, with her star-shaped glasses and idea notebook, watches the children playing around her. She notices that many of them lose their crayons. A brilliant idea then sparks in her mind.

Mila, excited, turns to Samy and says:
« Samy, I have an idea! »

Samy, curious, asks:
« What an idea, Mila? »

Mila, eyes sparkling with excitement, then announces:
« Make a funny pencil holder shaped like a unicorn cat! »

Samy, excited, shouts:
« Great! Let's go see Mrs. Pitch. »

Soon after, Mrs. Pitch comes into the shop. She listens carefully to Mila's ideas. She explains that bright colors catch the eye, like the colorful wings of butterflies. Together, they choose the best colors for their pencil holder. A colorful product sheet appears with a secret word to collect.

Mila and Samy get to work, drawing sketches and choosing the best materials. Mrs. Pitch shows them how to use simple tools to make prototypes. They test different shapes and sizes to make sure the pencil holder is both strong and fun.

The adjustments and the tests

After several tries, Mila and Samy find the right shape. They choose colorful materials. Mrs. Pitch helps them test the strength of their invention. The pencils must stay in place, like the scales(2) of a snake.

Mrs Pitch, with an encouraging smile, suggests:
« Try with this fabric. It is soft, but the pencils do not slip. »

Mila, delighted, shouts:
« Awesome! It’s perfect. The pencils stay in place. »

Excited, Samy suggests:
« Now, let's add bright colors. The kids will love it. »

Mrs Pitch, with a clever smile, adds: « Yes, colors catch the eye. Add some fun patterns(3) too. »

Mila and Samy add stars and hearts. They draw funny patterns. Mrs. Pitch helps them create a product sheet. She shows how to write clear and appealing information.

Now that the funny unicorn cat pencil holder is ready, it's time to test it and show it to the customers. Samy is sent to Mystery Customer Street to meet visitors who can be grumpy, curious(4), or in a hurry! He needs to practice welcoming a customer and offering what they are looking for. Mrs. Pitch will teach him how to present an idea, organize(5) a sale, and listen to customer feedback(6). But for now, it's time to get ready for the big weekend sale!
