📝 Quick summary of key information
What is an excavator used for on a construction site?
A backhoe is a strong and useful machine that you often see on construction sites. It looks like a small bulldozer with a shovel in front and a blade in back. It comes in different sizes, but it is always easy to spot because of its big wheels and mechanical arm.
At a construction site, the excavator has several important jobs. It can dig holes for building foundations, lift heavy materials and move them from one place to another. With its shovel, it can also move dirt to prepare the ground.
Using a bulldozer needs lots of skill and training. Drivers must know how to move the machine safely to avoid accidents. They must also know the safety rules to protect other workers on the site.
Bulldozers are very important on a construction site because they help prepare the ground for other work. Thanks to them, workers can build buildings, roads, and other structures more quickly and safely.

The Excavator Discovery
After exploring the plans with the architect (1) in the Plan Cabin and discovering the secrets of the symbols and doors, Léon and Lila, along with their loyal dog, a Jack Russell named Trouvetout, head to the Machine Park. There, a new adventure awaits them, full of impressive machines and fascinating discoveries. Mister Pole, the foreman, greets them with a big smile. He explains that the excavator is an essential (2) machine for preparing the ground. Léon, eyes sparkling, is already eager to see this machine in action.
Léon, his eyes wide with curiosity, asks:
« What is this big yellow machine? »
Lila, curious, asks:
« Yes, what is it for? »
Léon, eyes shining, exclaims:
« I want to see it in action! »
Lila, curious, asks then:
« How does it work? »
Not long after, a strong (3) and smiling man comes up to them. He explains that the excavator is a powerful machine. It is used to dig, lift, or move the earth. The man shows Léon how he handles (4) the controls with precision.
Under the dug-up earth, Léon finds a stone with a funny spiral drawing on it... A piece of a hidden message?
The Mystery of the Stone
Léon looks at the stone carefully. The spiral drawing seems mysterious.
Léon, curious, asks:
« What is this drawing? »
Lila, curious, whispers:
« It looks like a secret. »
Mister Pole, with a mysterious smile, says:
« Sometimes, old things are found. »
Mister Pole, who loves his job, explains: « Archaeologists (5) can study these objects. »
Léon, eyes shining, asks:
« Are we going to find a treasure? »
Lila, her eyes sparkling, whispers:
« I hope there's a hidden treasure. »
After watching The Excavator Operator and finding the mysterious stone, Léon goes to another part of the construction site (6). He sees some bricklayers at work. Curious, he wonders how to build a strong wall with bricks. A bricklayer shows him how each brick is placed carefully, and how the bricklayers work together to create strong and lasting structures. Léon is impressed by the cooperation and precision of the bricklayers. He thinks he still has a lot to learn about construction jobs (7). Mister Pole, the site manager, smiles at him and says he can discover other jobs on his next visit. Léon, eager, already wonders what the next adventure will bring.
