📝 Quick summary of key information
How do solar panels make energy?
Solar panels are tools that catch the sun's light to make electricity. They use special cells called photovoltaic cells. These cells turn the sun's light into electricity that we can use to light up our homes, schools, and even our toys.
Solar energy is a clean and renewable energy source. This means it never runs out and it doesn't pollute our planet. Imagine a world where the air is always clean and the rivers are always clear!
Solar energy does not cause pollution. Unlike power plants that burn coal or oil, solar panels do not release smoke or harmful gases into the air. It's like nature itself gives us clean and free energy.
A renewable energy source is one that naturally renews itself. The sun shines every day, so solar energy is always available. By using solar energy, we protect our planet for future generations.

The Green Factory and Renewable Energy
How do solar panels make energy?
The Discovery of Solar Power
After exploring the enchanted forest and discovering Max the squirrel's tiny windmills, Karim and Laetitia, two experts in Corporate Social (1) Responsibility (2) (CSR), were more determined than ever to promote eco-friendly practices. Their next mission took them to the Green Factory, a place where every machine runs on renewable (3) energy. Karim, with his green shirt and tree and leaf badges, and Laetitia, with her blue jacket with wave and fish patterns, stood at the entrance of the factory, ready to uncover the secrets of solar energy.
Karim, pointing upwards, asks:
« Laetitia, do you see the panels on the roof? »
Laetitia, with a smile, says:
« Yes, they capture the sun's light. »
Karim, with a bright smile, explains:
« Exactly. The light hits the panels. It is turned into electricity. »
Laetitia, who loves nature, adds:
« This energy is clean and has no pollution. »
While exploring the factory, they found out that each machine worked with this solar energy. They realized that renewable energy is the key to a greener future.
But they found a little problem. Some solar panels seemed less effective (4) than others. They decided to investigate to find out why.
The Mystery of the Solar Panels
Karim and Laetitia started to look closely at the solar panels. They found that some were covered in dust and dirt, which made them less effective.
Laetitia, after looking at the panels, explains:
« Dust blocks the sunlight. »
Laetitia, pointing at the panels, explains: « Dust stops the solar cells (5) from catching the sun's light well, which makes them produce less energy. »
Karim, full of energy, suggests:
« Let's clean the solar panels. »
Laetitia, convinced of the importance of maintenance, says:
« Yes, let's clean the panels so they can capture the sunlight better. »
After cleaning the panels, Laetitia and Karim went up to the roof. With brushes and buckets of water, they started to clean the solar panels. Together, they managed to make all the solar panels clean and efficient. Laetitia explained to the children that regular maintenance of the solar panels is essential to ensure optimal (6) energy production.
After exploring the wonders of the Green Factory and cleaning the solar panels, Karim and Laetitia were guided to the Eco Supermarket. It was explained to the children how the products were packaged in recyclable and local materials. It was also explained why using recyclable packaging was essential to reduce waste and preserve our planet. Karim and Laetitia were eager to discover the new adventures that awaited them, always ready to promote eco-friendly and sustainable practices.
