Midwife Claire's Magical Welcome
How do we help a new cuddly toy arrive safely into the world?
The Gentle Birth of a Cuddly Baby
After taking care of a little mouse with a star-shaped bandage (1), Éliott and Nour leave the First Aid Corner. They learned how to clean a wound (2), apply a bandage, and most importantly, how to reassure patients, even the smallest ones. They head towards the Teddy Room, where a soft light illuminates the tiny beds. Doctor Soft greets them with a warm smile. He introduces them to Midwife (3) Claire, who is busy preparing a very soft blanket. Éliott and Nour watch with curiosity, eager to find out what's in store for them.
Doctor Soft, with a reassuring smile, announces:
« Midwife Claire is going to help a baby stuffed bunny be born. »
Nour, curious, asks: « What is a birth (4)? »
Doctor Soft, with a reassuring smile, explains:
« It's when a baby comes into the world. »
Midwife Claire, with precise and soothing movements, helps the baby stuffed bunny be born. Éliott and Nour watch every move carefully, fascinated by the gentleness of the care. Claire explains that every birth is unique and requires a lot of patience and gentleness. She shows the children how to wrap the baby in a warm and soft blanket, making sure it feels safe. Claire, with her curly brown hair framing her soft and friendly face, and her sparkling green eyes, gives a reassuring smile to the children. Her hands, though strong, are gentle and reassuring.
Midwife Claire, with a reassuring smile, explains then:
« Patience and gentleness are important. »
Meanwhile, Doctor Soft writes notes in his notebook, drawing the steps of the birth to better explain them to the children later. While rocking the newborn, Éliott notices a small pendant (5) sewn into the cloth: a shiny key to understanding the care of life. Éliott and Nour are amazed.
The Key to Life Care
Eliott shows the pendant to Nour. The two friends look at the shiny key with curiosity. They want to know more about its importance.
Éliott, intrigued, asks:
« What does this key mean? »
Nour, curious about the shiny key, asks:
« Why is it important? »
Midwife Claire takes the pendant in her hands. She explains that this key symbolizes the importance of care from the very first moments of life. Every action, every bit of attention given to the newborn, helps with their well-being and development.
Midwife Claire, with a reassuring smile, then explains:
« This key shows the importance of first care. »
Midwife Claire shows the children how to take the baby's temperature. She uses a special thermometer (6) for stuffed animals. Then, she checks the heartbeat with a tiny stethoscope (7). Finally, she gives a soft and comforting bath to the baby stuffed rabbit.
Once the care is finished, it is explained to Éliott and Nour that they can be proud of having learned so many things about welcoming new stuffed friends. They now know how to comfort a tiny patient and take care of their well-being. Then, their adventure continues in the Stuffed Friends Room, where they will meet Doctor Little, a cheerful pediatrician who sings while taking care of a stuffed bunny. They will learn the importance of gentleness and patience to calm young patients.
