📝 Quick summary of key information
How do science tests help us take better care of ourselves?
Lab tests are magical tools that scientists use to see things that are too small for our eyes. They can find germs, viruses, or hidden signs of sickness in our bodies.
With these tests, caregivers can better understand what is wrong. For example, a test can show that a tiny germ is causing a high fever. Science helps caregivers make a good diagnosis.
Making a good diagnosis is very important. It helps to know exactly what is making someone sick and to find the best solution to get better. Without a good diagnosis, it is hard to choose the right treatment.
Tests help choose the right treatment. For example, if a test shows that a virus is making someone sick, caregivers know to use special medicines. So, tests are very important for treating illnesses effectively.

The Lab Discovery
After learning how to sew the torn leg of a soft stuffed elephant, Éliott, a boy with an oversized lab coat, round glasses, and a beeping watch, and Nour feel ready to take on new challenges. In the quiet, well-lit room, Doctor Soft patiently showed them how to use thread and needle to fix the injuries of their stuffed friends. They discovered that even the smallest repairs can bring a smile to a stuffed toy in distress. Soon after, Doctor Soft invites them to follow him to a mysterious place, the laboratory of the Lab Technician, a character passionate about science and inventions. He wears a white lab coat and protective glasses. He has messy hair and sparkling eyes full of intelligence. He always has a tool or gadget in his hand, ready to be used.
Once inside, Éliott and Nour's eyes light up. Colorful tubes filled with mysterious liquids, funny magnifying glasses, and sparkling microscopes (1) surround them. The Lab Technician, with his safety glasses and white coat, warmly welcomes them.
Lab Technician, with an enthusiastic smile, exclaims:
« Welcome to my laboratory, Éliott and Nour! »
Nour, amazed, exclaims:
« This is magical here! »
Éliott, curious about all these objects, asks:
« What is all this? »
Lab Technician, with a mysterious smile, begins to explain: « Lab tests help find clues that are invisible to the naked eye. Like germs (2) or signs of sickness. »
While looking (3) at a mysterious sample (4), they discover a magical drop that reveals a secret message about the magic of scientific care.
The Invisible Clues
After looking at the sample, Éliott and Nour are amazed by the discoveries. The Lab Technician explains to them that science and observation help caregivers make a good diagnosis (5) and choose the right treatment.
Lab Technician, with a mischievous smile, begins to explain: « The colors of the liquids in the tubes can show the presence of certain substances (6). »
Lab Technician, with a mischievous smile, begins to explain: « For example, a blue liquid can reveal an infection (7), while a green liquid can show the presence of vitamins. »
Éliott, intrigued by the colorful tubes, then asks:
« How do you know if it is good or bad? »
Nour, curious, asks then:
« Yes, how do we do it? »
Lab Technician, with a cheeky smile, explains:
« The tests show clear signs. Doctors use them to heal. »
With this discovery, Éliott and Nour learn that the magic of care is endless. Thanks to the Lab Technician's explanations, they understand that tests and observations can reveal amazing secrets. That's when the Lab Technician tells them that a new patient, a cute little turtle named Titi, needs their help. What mystery will they find with her? The excited children head to the cuddly toy room, ready to use their new knowledge to help Titi. They now know that every little discovery can make a big difference in the world of stuffed animals.
