📝 Quick summary of key information
How do you make an electronic light shine?
LEDs, or light-emitting diodes, are small lights that glow with electricity. They are all around us, in remote controls, flashlights, and even in Christmas decorations.
To make an LED shine, you need electricity. When this electricity goes through the LED, it lights up and makes light. It's like the LED says: Turn me on and I will shine for you!
LEDs are very useful because they use little energy. They last a long time and are economical. They are perfect for showing signals, like traffic lights, or for decorating places with colorful lights.
LEDs have lots of advantages. They are durable, which means they do not break easily. They are also very efficient because they make lots of light with little energy. That is why they are used more and more in our homes and devices.

The LED Valley
How do you make an electronic light shine?
Arrival in the LED Valley
After listening to the resistors (1) sing in the Forest of Resistors, where they explained why slowing down the current is sometimes necessary, Nino and Luma head off on a new adventure. They walk through trees with glowing branches and meet little dragonflies with sparkling wings, who guide them to a glowing door. They follow the insects and enter an old, abandoned clock, where a glowing door awaits them. Nino, with his endless (2) curiosity, and Luma, fascinated by the lights, approach the door. Suddenly, the door lights up with a thousand colors and opens wide, revealing a glowing path that leads them straight to the Valley of LEDs.
Nino, amazed, says:
« It's beautiful here. »
Luma, amazed, says:
« Look at all these lights. »
After admiring the lights, Nino and Luma start exploring the valley. They see LEDs everywhere: in toys, light-up signs, and even in small flashlights. Each LED lights up when they say a kind word or connect a cable. They find out that each LED has a different color depending on the material (3) used. They see red, blue, green, and even white LEDs that shine like little stars.
Nino, curious about the different colors of the LEDs, asks:
« Why do the LEDs have different colors? »
Luma, amazed, explains:
« Each color comes from the material used. It's magical. »
Not long after, Luma has fun turning the LEDs on and off by saying kind words and connecting cables. Nino, on the other hand, watches each LED carefully and sees how they react to the electric current. They discover that LEDs use very little energy, making them perfect for lighting up without wasting power. But suddenly, one LED won't light up. Nino and Luma need to find out why and how to fix it.
They understand that with a simple current and a good connection, you can light up the world... and hearts.
The Broken LED Challenge
Nino and Luma look closely at the broken (4) LED. They watch carefully. The LED does not light up. They look for why.
Nino, focused, says:
« Look at the LED. »
After looking carefully, Luma explains:
« It is connected the wrong way. »
Nino, after looking at the LED, says: « I will change the polarity (5). »
Nino takes out a tiny screwdriver from his tool belt. He changes the polarity of the LED. To their surprise, the LED lights up instantly. The valley glows with a beautiful golden light.
After lighting up the sparkling valley, Nino and Luma suddenly find themselves in a golden desert. Electric paths (6) wind like enchanted trails. Little sand rats run around, sparking with light. The children discover that each path hides an electric secret, ready to be revealed. They promise to come back and explore this new mysterious place, knowing that every electronic (7) part has a magical role to play. With a smile and a sparkle in their eyes, they get ready for their next adventure, eager to discover even more hidden secrets in the world of electronics.
