📝 Quick summary of key information
Can you learn by making mistakes?
Learning is like a big adventure where you discover new things. It's the way you get new knowledge and skills.
Making mistakes is part of this journey. In fact, making mistakes helps you understand what doesn't work and try something else. It's like following a treasure map and realizing you took the wrong path.
Artificial intelligence, or AI, learns from its mistakes. It is tested and corrected when it makes a mistake, which helps it get better. It's a bit like having a teacher who shows it its mistakes and tells it how to fix them.
Iteration is doing something over and over again, changing it a little each time to get a better result. For example, learning to ride a bike by falling and trying again. Each try is a chance to improve your skills.

The River of Tests
Can we learn by making mistakes?
The Journey on the River
After playing in the Magic Tree Forest, Mila and Noa learned how machines find answers. With a little squirrel who knows codes well, they followed secret paths. They found magical trees that helped them find the right answers. Then, they arrived near a shining river, the Test River. There, ideas and mistakes mix to learn. IAlexandra (1), their funny and smart friend, was waiting with a big smile. She told them that to learn, you sometimes have to make mistakes and try again.
IAlexandra, with a mischievous smile, says:
« Look at this leaf boat. It floats on the river. »
Mila, with a cheeky smile, says:
« I have an idea. I'm going to launch my leaf boat on the water. »
Noa, with a sly smile, then announces: « I will fix the direction with my coder (2) oar. »
At every turn, they test, correct, and make progress in the river. IAlexandra shows them that every mistake is a step toward success. The children discover that learning algorithms work the same way: they try, make mistakes, and improve.
Mila, thinking out loud, says:
« Imagine if IAlexandra makes a mistake. For example, she sees a cat and thinks it's a dog. »
Noa, with a clever smile, suggests:
« I will show pictures to help the artificial intelligence learn. »
They laugh as they see IAlexandra make funny mistakes, like drawing a tree with square leaves. At every turn, they test, fix, and move forward in the river until they reach the mouth (3) of success.
Iteration and Improvement
After laughing, they continue their adventure. Noa and Mila decide to test blurry images. They show animal photos to IAlexandra. IAlexandra tries to guess.
Noa, amazed, says:
« Look, IAlexandra sees a cat and thinks it's a bird. »
Mila, with a mischievous smile, suggests:
« That's funny. We'll show her more pictures. »
Noa, with a big, happy smile, says:
« Yes, she will learn to recognize better. »
They show pictures that get harder and harder. IAlexandra makes mistakes but gets better with each try. They laugh as they see her progress.
IAlexandra, with a pixelated smile, says:
« You see, every mistake is a lesson. I get better because of you. »
After sailing on the river of success, Noa and Mila, along with their funny and brilliant AI IAlexandra, embark on a new adventure. They wonder, what can we create when we put everything we have learned together? They program their first real project: a magical assistant that tells stories based on the mood of the day. A curious squirrel watches them and encourages them to keep going. They now know that making mistakes is part of the learning process and that with every error, they become smarter and more creative.
