📝 Quick summary of key information

How can all these discoveries help us understand the world better?

Scientific and technological discoveries help us understand the world better. For example, electricity lets us turn on the lights and use our electronic devices. Thanks to it, we can watch TV, play video games, and even cook more easily.

Computers and smartphones help us talk to our friends and family, even if they are far away. They also help us learn and play. Medicines, like vaccines, protect us from illnesses and help us stay healthy.

Scientific discoveries also help us protect our planet. For example, renewable energies, like solar and wind, reduce pollution. Electric cars, which do not produce smoke, are another way to take care of our environment.

In short, inventions and discoveries make our lives easier and safer. They help us understand the world around us better and protect it for future generations.

The Journey of Ideas

How can all these discoveries help us understand the world better?

The Laws of Light

In the Experiment Room, colorful mirrors and flasks are handled by Noa, a little boy with messy brown hair and round glasses, and Nina, a mischievous and dreamy girl with curly hair and a blue overalls, always with her magic pencil. Isaac Newton, a passionate and kind scientist with curly white hair, dressed in a long old coat, and always holding an apple, watches carefully. Dancing shapes and magical reflections appear around them, showing how light reflects and breaks into colors. The secrets of shadows and reflections are revealed to the children. After spending hours observing the reflections and colors, energetic Noa, who is not afraid to ask questions, wonders how these discoveries(1) can help them understand the world better. The children then remember the symbols found in the Dusty Attic and the glowing book. They wonder if these light experiments(2) could be connected to their previous discoveries.

Noa, curious about the colorful reflections, asks: « Why do colors change when light goes through a prism(3)? »

Nina, curious, asks:
« Yes, how does light make rainbows? »

Not long after, Isaac Newton stands up and walks over to the kids. He takes a prism and some light. He explains that white light is made of all the colors. When it goes through the prism, it splits into beautiful colors.

Isaac Newton, with a bright smile, begins to explain: « White light breaks into colors. Butterflies use these colors to hide or attract friends(4). »

After listening to Isaac Newton, Noa and Nina understand light better. They realize that light bounces off surfaces. They experiment with mirrors and prisms. They watch white light turn into a rainbow of colors.

After playing with mirrors and prisms, Noa, the little boy with messy brown hair, and Nina, the little girl with curly hair and a blue overalls, feel more curious and brilliant than ever. They have learned so much about light and its mysteries. As they look at the magic book, it glows one last time: a page turns by itself and shows the children in the future, even more curious and brilliant… ready for more adventures!

The Mysteries of Gravity

When the book shines one last time, a page turns by itself and shows the children in the future, curious and brilliant... ready for more adventures! As they remember this vision, Noa and Nina find themselves in Isaac Newton's lab, where they can keep exploring and learning.

Noa, amazed, says:
« Look, Nina, there are apples everywhere here! Isaac Newton must love this place. It seems he has lots of experiments to show us. »

Nina, curious, asks:
« Why do they always fall to the ground? »

Isaac Newton, with a kind smile, explains: « It's gravity(5). It pulls things towards the Earth. »

Isaac Newton takes an apple and looks at it. He explains to the children that objects always fall to the ground. The children watch and understand. They play with balls and kites, watching how gravity affects their movements.

Noa, curious, asks:
« Why don’t snakes slip when they crawl? »

Isaac Newton, with a bright smile, explains: « It's friction(6). It helps snakes move. »

After closing the book, amazed(7) by the discoveries they had just made, Noa and Nina found themselves back in the Dusty Attic. The children looked at the symbols they had found, their minds still filled with Isaac Newton's explanations about gravity and friction. A black and white cat rubbed against their legs, as if inviting them to explore new mysteries. Who knows what other adventures await us? Noa whispered. The children exchanged a knowing smile, ready to discover the secrets hidden in other dusty books, maybe even meet other famous scientists. They promised to keep exploring and learning, because every discovery brought them one step closer to understanding the world around them.
