📝 Quick summary of key information

Why is Jupiter the giant so big and does she have a huge red spot?

Jupiter is the biggest planet in our solar system. It is so big that you could fit more than 1,300 Earths inside it! Jupiter is a gas giant, made mostly of gases like hydrogen and helium.

On Jupiter, there is a huge storm called the Great Red Spot. This storm has been raging for hundreds of years and is bigger than Earth. Imagine a storm that lasts longer than you!

Jupiter can be seen with the naked eye in the night sky. Long ago, astronomers like Galileo looked at it with telescopes. They found out that Jupiter has more than 79 moons. The four biggest ones are Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto.

Jupiter is very important for our solar system. With its strong gravity, it pulls in comets and asteroids, protecting Earth. It's like a big space guard!

Jupiter the Giant and the Spinning Storm

Why is Jupiter so big and does she have a big red spot?

Arrival at Jupiter the giant

After exploring the mysteries of Mars, Piko and Luma continue their journey through space(1). Mars, the red planet, showed them stories of majestic mountains and ancient storms(2), leaving them amazed(3) by its Martian landscapes. They even met little rovers that taught them Mars is the planet with the highest volcanoes and the deepest canyons(4). Curious(5) about new wonders, Piko and Luma are now heading towards Jupiter the giant, the biggest planet in the solar system.

Piko, amazed, says:
« Wow, Luma! Look at that planet! It's huge! »

Luma, amazed, says:
« Yes, Piko! Jupiter the giant is really very big. She is bigger than all the other planets. »

Piko, curious, asks then:
« But why is Jupiter the giant so big? »

Luma, curious, explains:
« Jupiter the giant is a kind and protective creature who lives in the clouds. She doesn't have a solid surface like Earth. She has a huge ocean of gas. »

Piko, with his eyes wide open, exclaims:
« And this red spot? It's huge! »

Luma, curious, explains:
« It's a storm. It has been there for hundreds of years. It is 16,000 kilometers wide. »

Jupiter the giant then captures a glowing whirlwind in a bubble of wind, revealing a golden spiral that seems to lead to a new destination(6). Intrigued, Piko and Luma follow the spiral, which takes them to a planet with magical rings: Saturn.

The spinning storm

Piko and Luma are amazed by the golden spiral. They wonder where it leads. Jupiter the giant smiles and beckons them to follow.

Piko, eyes shining with curiosity, asks:
« Where does this spiral go? »

Luma, amazed, whispers:
« I don't know. But it's wonderful! »

Jupiter the giant guides them to the golden spiral. She tells them that this spiral is a door to another planet. Piko and Luma are excited about this new adventure.

Piko, eyes shining with curiosity, asks:
« What planet is this? »

Luma, amazed, says:
« It's Saturn, the planet with magic rings. »

In the wind bubble, Piko and Luma are swept away by the golden whirlwind. They emerge near Saturn, an elegant(7) planet that twirls its rings like a magic ribbon. The rings are made of billions of ice and dust particles that sing celestial melodies. The two little asteroids get ready to uncover the mysteries of this planet with enchanted rings. Their adventure continues, and they can't wait to see what Saturn has in store for them. With a smile and a heart full of new wonders, Piko and Luma head towards their next discovery, ready for new adventures in the vastness of space.
