The War Machine

Why is it important to find peaceful solutions to conflicts?

The Surprising Discovery

With a secret(1) notebook from Leonardo da Vinci filled with mysterious(2) symbols(3) in hand, Lea, a curious girl who loves science and is always ready to experiment and discover new things, and Max started to decode the inventor's secrets. They found plans for amazing inventions(4), including flying machines and fascinating robots. After solving the puzzles, they headed to the magical workshop, where a new adventure awaited them. As soon as they entered, they were amazed by an unexpected discovery: a huge and complex war machine stood in the middle of the room. Intrigued, they moved closer to learn more.

Lea, amazed, says:
« This machine is very big. It has lots of details. »

Max, curious, says:
« Look, there are wheels and levers. It's like a puzzle. »

Lea, curious, asks:
« That's true. But why did Leonardo make this machine? »

Max, after looking at the details of the machine, thinks out loud:
« Maybe it's to protect people. But it's for war. »

After thinking for a moment, Lea says:
« There are other ways to solve problems. No need for war. »

Max, after thinking for a moment, says:
« I will draw machines to build bridges. That way, we can connect people instead of separating them. Imagine if we used our inventions to help others and not to fight them. »

By talking and imagining peaceful solutions, they understand the importance of peace and cooperation.

Finding Peaceful Solutions

After talking about peaceful ways to solve problems, Lea and Max keep exploring. They find plans for machines that can help build strong houses. They are amazed by Leonardo's ideas.

Lea, amazed, shows Max:
« Look, Max, these plans show houses that can resist storms. »

Max, while looking through the plans, says:
« Yes, and these robots can help build quickly. »

After thinking about the plans, Lea says:
« People will not have to fight for shelters anymore. »

Max, his eyes sparkling with inspiration, says:
« We can imagine villages where everyone lives in harmony. »

As they continue exploring, they find drawings of farm machines. These inventions can help feed lots of people without war. They are inspired by these ideas.

After talking about peaceful ways to solve problems, Lea and Max were drawn to a new invention hidden in a dark corner of the workshop. A prototype(5) of a submarine designed by Leonardo da Vinci, made to sail under water. Fascinated(6), they discovered how Leonardo had imagined a machine allowing humans to explore the ocean depths like whales. Intrigued by this new discovery, they promised to come back and explore the mysteries of the magic workshop, ready for new adventures and to learn even more about Leonardo da Vinci's inventions.
