Nature's Remedies with Hippocrates

How can plants help to heal illnesses?

The Meeting with Hippocrates

After watching the animals that Aristotle carefully sorted(1), Sarah and Sofiane are taken to a small, fragrant garden. They are amazed by the plants and flowers around them. They find out that each plant has its own special powers(2) and can be used to make potions(3). Their curiosity piqued, they wonder what other wonders this garden holds.

A little while later, Sarah and Sofiane hear rustling leaves and mysterious whispers(4). They follow the sound and discover a small, fragrant garden. A small dragon with green and golden scales(5) is busy making potions. It's Hippocrates.

Sofiane, curious, asks:
« Who are you? »

Hippocrates, with a kind smile, then explains:
« I am Hippocrates. I use plants to help the sick. I watch nature and understand the effects of herbs. »

Sarah, curious about the potions, asks:
« How can plants help? »

Hippocrates, showing the plants, explains: « Some leaves soothe tummy aches. Some flowers heal scratches(6). »

After explaining the benefits of plants, Hippocrates showed them a shiny bottle. Inside, a hidden symbol in the plant was revealed to the children – a new clue to help them in their adventure.

The Secrets of the Plants

Sarah and Sofiane look at the shiny bottle. They are amazed by the hidden symbol in the plant. They wonder what the next step in their adventure is.

Sofiane, curious, asks:
« Hippocrates, how do you make these potions? »

Hippocrates, with a mischievous smile, begins to explain:
« I pick the plants, I mix them, and I boil them. Then, I let them rest. »

Sarah, curious about the potions, asks:
« Which plant do we use to soothe a sore throat? »

Hippocrates, with a mischievous smile, explains:
« Sage is very good for that. It also soothes pain. »

Sofiane, curious, asks:
« And to help with sleeping, what plant do we use? »

Hippocrates, the little dragon with green and golden scales, explains:
« Chamomile is perfect for sleeping. It calms the mind. »

After thanking Hippocrates and admiring the sparkling potions, Sarah and Sofiane suddenly find themselves in a small, fragrant garden. As they explore, they discover a hidden symbol in a plant. Curious, they lean in to take a closer look. Hippocrates, who is watching them, hands them a shiny vial containing a potion. He then reveals that this symbol is a new clue to help them in their adventure. Hippocrates explains that plants and geometric(7) shapes often hide precious secrets. He invites them to follow this new clue, leading them to a bright room where geometric figures float around them. They then meet a wise turtle, Euclid, who explains how geometric shapes are essential to understanding our world. They can't wait to see what this new adventure has in store for them.
